Yes,there is a negativity side which it it is very far away from kolkata main center.That takes a lot of time to go from kolkata to Haldia. Here markets are not good as we expected. Most of our technical products are not not available here.
Course Curriculum Overview
As this is an affaliated college under MAKAUT(Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology), all the exam are held according to MAKAUT based.Some courses are outdated but good for learning for basic clearance. Overall it is a good college.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good. In 2018 highest package is 26.4 lakhs.As here students get quality education so here job opportunities are too good. Yes, this also provide internship. I I had heard from our seniors that the provided internships are of quality type.
College Events
Prayukti (technical fest) This fest includes Robotics competition,programming competition, quizzes, photo sessions, and many more. Riveria (cultural fest) includes Star night, Dj nite , Jalwa night and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible.The course fee is INR 40,000 per semester and if u go for hostel accommodation the fees are INR 7,200 per semester. Now it has increased and it is 14,000. There are scholarships for students who get the highest scores in their respective department.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are too much scholarship to avail. And also loan facilities are available. I take loan from DRCC Bihar through student credit card scheme. Student loan interest rate is 4 percent. This scheme is only for Bihar students,there are also other loan for other state students.
Campus Life
There are too much different types of playgrounds like football,cricket, badminton court,etc. Labs are well equipped. Sports are held at regular intervals of time, that helped students in there hobbies upliftment.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes,they are very helpful.They help in every aspect of field. Seniors are very supportive , they help there juniors a lot in every matter. But some of the seniors are not good. They always try to rag their juniors.
Admission
I got admission through WBUT(West Bengal university of technology) entrance exam. First I had to attend for WBUT entrance exam and then I had to wait for counseling process, on the basis of rank I got admission in Haldia Institute of Technology.
Faculty
Faculty are to much supportive. Every faculty has there own Field and they are very talented and experienced. Most of them are researcher. Most of time they are involved in research activities. Lab professors are much knowledgeable, they helped students in every steps.
