IELTS exam dates in India for 2026 are available throughout the year for the computer-based format, and 48 times a year for the paper-based format. The paper-based test is available only 2-3 times a month, so if you are planning to take the exam in this format, you should register well in advance.

The IELTS test schedule also varies for the Academic and General Training tests, as well as across the different cities in India. IELTS test dates may also differ across test centers, meaning your nearest location might not offer the same date as another city.

Note that Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are conducted on the same day, while the Speaking section may be scheduled up to 7 days before or after the main test date, depending on your test center.
