University of Leicester Deposit Fees

International students are required to pay deposit fees to secure their seats at the University of Leicester. The details regarding the deposit are mentioned below:

University of Leicester Fee Payment by Sponsor

The details of the sponsorship payment for international students are mentioned below:

• Sponsor is generally an organization (employer, NGOs, embassy, committee or government).
• Family, relatives or friends are not considered as a sponsor.
• To use a sponsor for paying the fees, students need to submit the official letter with details including their name & student ID, Course name & start date, the amount the sponsor will pay, Sponsor details (contact, address, email), Reference number, and signed approval.
• The university sends the invoice directly to the sponsor.
• Sponsor must pay fees within 30 days of the date the invoice is received.
• The amount must be paid 100%; no instalments are allowed in this case.
• If the sponsor does not pay fees, then the student will be liable to pay them.

University of Leicester Refund Rules

International students who withdraw their admission from the University of Leicester gets refund of fees in the following ways:

Postgraduate International Students:

• If a student withdraws within 14 days of admission to the University of Leicester, then he/she might get 100% fee refund.
• If the student withdraws after 14 days but before 7 months, then the refund depends on the number of months he/she has studied.
• For example, if a student has studied for 4 months, then he/she will be refunded the fees for the remaining 8 months (the duration for which they have not studied).
• If the student decides to withdraw after 7 months, then he/she will not be refunded the fees.

Note: 1 day = a full month is counted. For example, if a student who has taken admission in October withdraws on 1 February. He/she will still be charged fees for the whole month of February.

Undergraduate International Students:

• For undergraduate programs, refund depends on the term when a student withdraws from the program.
