• I personally have done internships during my MSc. Networking via career events is really important. Finding job will be totally on the students but University will provide support with career events, resume building, appearing for interviews, etc.

• I would say always go for the accommodation suggested or mentioned on the University website. Don't go for online platforms. University accommodation as well as private accommodation suggested by the university is really good. Mine was around 150 pounds per week, including everything but cost can very based on the accommodation.

• It really depends, as most students prefer to fly back to their home country just after their course completion. But I'd say most people who have good CVs, academics, and skills (both hard and soft) and have knowledge/experience in the field can secure a job within 6 months. Average pay would be around 35K GBP. Most people get jobs through applying online through job portals or directly through company websites. Having good connections and networking is always great.
• Linkedin is primarily used along with Indeed and other similar job portals. There are networking events held on campus, but they are not necessarily helpful. It's really hard to get placement experience, as there is no such thing as on-campus placement. Majorly students flock to Big 4 and Big banks as a starter.

• I found my accommodation through the university website. I also had joined a few whatsapp groups which can help especially if you are looking for accommodations outside of university. I stayed at Wessex Lane halls accommodation where was a bit old, but very spacious and nature-centric.
• The monthly cost was around 650 GBP, which includes the rent, food (twice a day), bus pass, security, bills, cleaning.
• I would highly recommend Wessex lane halls if you are not looking for anything fancy and if you are looking for an accommodation which provides food.
• The halls is around a km away from the campus, so a good 15 min walk

• Finding a full-time job in the UK is a great challenge for every student, especially International students need to be more patient to secure a job. 
• It's not impossible to get the job but we need to more dedicated and updated on the trends.

• Uni also provides accommodation services based on priority basis.
• Apart from that there are many house letting platforms that helps to identify the houses for rent.

• Cannot guarantee this because there are always uncertainties dangling around and we are living on the edge without knowing what happens next so this is one area that is completely unknown following the recent Brexit.

• It varies from city to city. I chose my accommodation from the university's portal and the weekly rent is around 180 pounds.

• It depends on the course you are doing and the level of experience you have before you undergo your master's. For example, I have seen students in the Finance /Business field, securing jobs more frequently than students in Engineering field. I , myself, am now looking for a job after finishing my master's. I graduated in December 2024. I am getting interviews, but most of the companies prefer more experienced candidates. Most of them are not willing to offer sponsorship.
• For a fresher like me with no experience, I would say 20,000 - 30,000 GBP per year. For experienced candidates, more than 30,000 GBP per year.
• The University conducts a career fair, which you can attend even after graduation. You can connect with companies in your field. I use online job portals like Gradcracker, CV Library , Linkedin etc. The University has a career site which I use to apply. You can keep your Linkedin active, and connect and message the recruiters.

• I stayed in a University student accommodation on Wessex lane. I stayed in a shared accommodation with a common kitchen and bathroom. I shared with 6 other students. My room was fully furnished, with a bed, study table, cupboard and almirah. Also, we had a laundry that was free to all students, and yearly bus passes were issued to students with University accommodation. I applied for this accommodation from the University website. The monthly rent for this accommodation is around 512 GBP per month.

• Around 20-30% students got placed in my batch within 6 months. The average salary range is from £30000-£45000. The students can find jobs through social job platforms like linkedin, Indeed, Reed.co.uk etc and also through alumni network.
• The placement of my batch students were like any other students. they applied via the company website through the career section. All Big4, telecommunications , Banking sectors hire people from cybersecurity backgrounds.

• I opted for university accommodation- Wessex Lane Halls. I found it though the university website. I opted for a standard room which was £128 per week.
• This is one of the six rooms in a flat. You have a common kitchen, dining, and washroom area. Your room will be equipped with a wash basin, cot, study table, chair, heater, cupboard, storage facilities.
• Finding my accommodation was pretty smooth and straightforward. opt for student accommodation confidently and it wont disappoint you. The accommodation is very safe too. The accommodation is a 20-minute-walk and 5-minute-bus ride far.

• MBA is more for people with businesses and higher level of job experience as you are the director, VP of the organisation. It is very different to the MBAs in India here more the experience better for you to do and MBA. A lot of my colleagues have not found the jobs till date and a lot of them have gone back. A lot of people left in the starting of the course as well or didn’t show up. The stress is immerse but you learn to deal with it and in the future nothing can phase you.  
• There is a job support but very generic, the job market is very tough globally with very few hiring. It is a tough decision for your future. Approximately 30% of MBA graduates obtain employment within six months of graduation, although this duration may differ depending on the industry and individual work experience. Recent graduates or those transitioning to new sectors may require additional time to secure positions.
• The typical salary range for MBA graduates falls between £35,000 and £55,000 annually, though this can vary by industry. Professionals with substantial experience, particularly in consulting, technology, and finance, often command higher salaries, while those entering unfamiliar fields may start at the lower end of the spectrum.

• I chose to pursue off-campus housing due to its greater flexibility and overall affordability compared to university accommodations. I discovered my residence through online resources such as Unite Students, Capital House, etc. Additionally, some individuals utilize WhatsApp or Telegram groups to network with fellow students seeking flatmates. My monthly rent was approximately £600 for an ensuite room, inclusive of all utilities, situated in the city centre.
• While locating a suitable place was relatively straightforward, securing it proved to be more challenging, as desirable options tend to be taken swiftly. Furthermore, some landlords prefer guarantors based in the UK, which can pose difficulties for international students. In certain instances, offering several months' rent in advance can alleviate this issue. 
• For prospective students, I advise commencing the search early, exploring multiple platforms, and reaching out to current students for potential leads. Southampton offers various neighbourhoods, but many Indian students tend to reside in Portswood, Highfield, or Shirley, as these areas provide good transportation links, grocery stores, and reasonable rental prices.

• Firstly, 50% of the people from my batch went back to their country after completing the course. From those that have stayed, it's a 30-70 ratio, with 30 being the ones that got a job and 70 being those that are still looking for one.
• The average salary range for a fresher would be GBP 25000 to 30000. If you have some experience, expect it to be anywhere from GBP 30000 to 50000 depending on your years of experience.
• Students usually take the graduate route and apply for "graduate role" which are mainly for freshers that are about to graduate. Apart from that, they mainly opt for LinkedIn, Indeed and other recruitment sites. 
• Not many of my batchmates have been placed. A few of them have been placed in Business Analyst roles in different companies. They had to wait a fair amount of time before finally getting the job.
• There aren't any specific ones, but the NHS is one of them that I've heard of.

• I used my counsellor's (Zoom Abroad) contacts to get my accommodation. They connected me with University Living, and they helped me finalize my accommodation via Whatsapp and calls.
• The weekly rent was GBP 120 which was to be paid over 10 installments over the course of the year. We each had out private room in a shared flat. We had 2 shared washrooms, a shared shower and a big shared kitchen. Apart from that, we had monthly events like Pizza Night, Trivia Night, etc.
• The challenges I mainly encountered were trust-based. Since it is a new country altogether and I don't know anyone there, I was hesitant to pay the deposit upfront. However, I can vouch that University Living is as trusted as it gets. The other challenge was finding a location close to the university which also had a decent rent amount that fit my budget.
• My recommendation would be Green Wood Court, it is where I stayed and it was the best accommodation I saw there for this price range. There are other good ones like Orion and Glen Eyre, but they provide a similar experience for a higher price. 
• My accommodation was a 15 minute walk away from the University. Most of the Indian students stayed either here at Green Wood Court or at Glen Eyre Halls.

• More than 90% graduates find a full time job soon after the course. Although, these are mostly jobs in fields of STEM and business as these are the fields that have employers participate in career fests. 
• Average salary range for entry level jobs in my program is £23000 per annum. 
• After graduation, students are provided career support through the University website. They look for jobs on various online portals. Some also secure jobs and internships through career fairs and campus recruitment.
• None of my batchmates applied for a placement in the UK as they either returned to their countries or they are planning to study further. 
• Major companies that hire graduates from my program include publishers like Penguin Random House and HarperCollins. Some graduates also become teachers at schools.

• I found an accommodation through the university. I applied on the university website and got a room of my preference.
• The monthly rent was around £800 and it included utilities like electricity and water bills, laundry and bus tickets to Unilink.
• The accommodation booking process was quite simple on the university website and only required me to show an unconditional offer from the university.
• I would recommend applying early so that you find a room according to your requirements. Many late applicants find a room that is not what they required or do not find one at all. They then have to look elsewhere for private rooms where the rent is much higher and utilities are not included.
• My accommodation was close to campus and I could either walk or take a (free) bus to the campus.

There are career fairs which take place in the university a few times over the year. And many big companies visit to advertise their job roles available. There are no placement drives as such like in Indian universities. Currently, the job market is not very good, which is not specific to the UK. Other than that opportunities are ample.

The overall experience was good at my university. It fulfilled my expectations in most aspects. One downside is you don’t get a culturally diverse set of students. But it is specific to my course.
