My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

MTech Environmental Engineering Review of IIT New Delhi

Likes

The campus area is very big, the campus is clean and all the facilities are available inside the campus
The college library is very good and there is huge seating capacity for all the students
Placement ratio is very good and average package is also good

Dislikes

Some Faculties are not good and punctual in taking classes
Cafeteria has a small seating area in the campus.
Hostel is too far from academic building.

Placement Experience:

In MTech students become eligible for placement from 3 semester in MTech program. Accenture, Flipkart, Deloitte etc companies has visited the college for giving placement and almost 75% students get placed. Highest package is 25 Lac and average package is 8 Lac. 75-85% students get placed in IIT New Delhi in MTech program.

Likes

IIT Delhi is known for its academic excellence. The institute offers world class education with a strong emphasis on research , innovation , and problem solving .
the faculty , professors here are highly experienced and actively engaged in research . there are great opportunites for placement as OCS team ( Office of career service) is a vertical which manages all placements stats
the campus is equipped with modern facilities like 24/7 open library, advanced research centres , well equipped laboratories .the course helps to think and solve problems in research and management

Dislikes

The academic pressure on the students is so high that sometimes students take unusual steps which hamper their life
the rigorous curriculum combined with a high level of compitition can make it difficult for students to maintain a healthy work life balance
there may be limited time and opportunities for students to focus on extra curriculars

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course helps to prepare students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits is equally crucial. well the institute needs to improve in some areas, like the timing of exams should be carefully planned in order to reduce students' stress and the difficulty should challenge students without being overly daunting. A semester in IIT Delhi is nearly of 4 months during which they conduct a mid sem and end sem exams.

A brief about iitd

Likes

Great campus, good competition, well placements
Very much experienced faculty which all have done post doctral
The non ragging campus due to its strict guidline provide a safe campus

Dislikes

The campus is very much tensed around cg
The branchism is a little concern here in iitd
The semester is very short so hectic but as a result you get holidays which are very long

Course Curriculum Overview:

The most of the course are relevant to real world applications but some professors make curriculum more reasearch oriented while some tries to keep it like jee but most of the time it is relevant like col 100, col 106 assignments in iitd are relevant to real life problems

Life at IIT Delhi

Likes

The brand of college , IIT has a reputation
It’s green and we can see peacocks in all seasons
It’s not much spoon feeding so learn by yourself makes you learn better

Dislikes

No rain shed on walkways , too tough to commute in rain
Hostel availability is less , need to take room outside
Girls to boys ratio in civil is 20:1 kind of

Placement Experience:

From 3rd Sem in MTech you can start sitting for placements. Companies like Godrej , L&T, Sharpooji , Samsung comes in core , otherwise there are many in management like Bain , PWC etc . 100 percent placement is there , my plan is to go with L&T

The IITD experience

Likes

I like the exposure I got here like the fests, competition and fun meets.
I like how the ragging is completely abolished from my college.
The non-graded course helps some relaxation from academic pressure.

Dislikes

The academic pressure is significant as it is hard for me.
The hostel accommodation is a little crowded.
The hostel mess food is not that good sometime

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible from 6th semester for pre-placements offer. Some of the top recruiters were Microsoft, HCL technologies, Accenture, Jaguar Land Rover India Limited, McKinsey & Company, Rakuten Mobile, etc. Around 1300 offers were made and 260 PPOs and 30 international offers in 2023 batch. The highest package in 2023 was 2.5 Cr per annum. The average package was around 20 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements was around 89% in 2023. My plans are either getting a placement or continue further studies in mechanical department.

My IIT D experience

faculty , here the faculty are just awesome they help us to solve every problem and help us to increase our knowledge
the full decorum is quiet good its so good and good vibes
the fest , events and all the extra curicular activities are very good

Dislikes

hostel food is not good , sometimes we found flies and even steel wires
Non faculty persons are very rude and there behaviour is also not good
academic pressure is also too heavy sometimes we feel too frustrated

Placement Experience:

the sudents are eligible from the sixth semster, or third year for the campus placements. The name of some companies came for the placement Microsoft ,Jaguar Land Rover India Limited , Rakuten Mobiles , Accenture etc. Around 1300 offers were made and 260 PPO's and 30 international offers in 2023 batch . The highest package in 2023 was 2.5 cr per annum . The average package was around 20 LPA . The percentage of students getting placed was around 89 percentage in 2023. My Plans are either getting a placement or going for the civil services

my college experience

Likes

i liked the academic and cultural environment of the college i gives exposure to me and also make me confident in interacting people.
in college there are many activities to do so you will never feel boring and through this you can make new friends also.
the infrastructure of campus is great. the academic faculty is also great and supporting. the girls to boys ratio is of sround 1:4.

Dislikes

the hostel mess food is not that much good and the hostel cleanliness is also not so good.
the avcademic pressure is slightly high and the attendence policy.
the 8 to 6 class makes the day hectic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd year end means 6th semester students can get pre placement offers. companies like microsoft,HCL TECNOLOGIES, accenture, jaguar land rover india limited, McKinsey & company, and many more. around 1300 offers were made and 260 ppo were give and there are 30 international offers. in 2023 highest package of iit delhi is 2.5 crper annum. and the average package is of about 20.5lpa. around 89% of students get placed in 2023. my plans after geting degree is to crack upsc or ssc like exam.

IITD Your Dream College

Likes

Proper equipments are available in laboratory.
Faculty is highly talented and help you when you have any problem.
You are in highly competitive environment as students are very bright

Dislikes

Work load is much as compared to BTech level.
You have to prepare reports and ppts every week.
Hostels are not provided in first semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Environment engineering is quite easy as compared to other branches and apart from that you can get highly beneficial knowledge related to surrounding pollutants.With respect to improvement there should also be courses related to practical time consideration of how we can reduce the pollutants concentration. Exam occurs 2 times in 6 months but quiz happens on regular basis.

Ghe faculties are very brilliantl and their teaching method is also good
The infrastructure is one of the best infrastructure in india and labs is bery good
The peers are very intelligent and i am learning new thing everyday

Dislikes

The girls ratio is not very good and very little peer interaction
The academic schedule is very headache don't get much time for other activities
The grading is too much difficult and do on their own only

The course is too much popular and give a good career option and the curriculum prepare for real world new tech company .the frequency and timings of exam is very much frequent and difficult y level is also good

I like the way to teaching of the faculties of iit Delhi
The boys to girls ratio is quite high .It can vary branch to branch
I like the campus of my college as it has decent facilities like gym , playground , canteen etc

Dislikes

The campus of iit delhi is very small and conjusted
There is no hostel facilities for boys for 1 semester .
There are too much classes and labs that we have to attend .

I have taken this course to improve my skills in Water resources Enginnering . I want to gain knowledge regarding this field . The course is very interesting to learn and have various opportunities in private sector jobs.

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
