My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

Life At IIT Delhi

the faculty at iit delhi is world class with many professors holding phds from top universities globally
The course curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in core subjects while allowing flexibility for specialization through elective
IIT Delhi boasts a stellar placement record with top companies visiting the campus each year

Dislikes

The girls to boys ratio is heavily skewed at approximately 1:5 which sometimes affect the inclusivity of social activities and group dynamics
the rigor of the curriculum can be overwhelming at times leading to burnout for some students
while some professors are approachable others can be intimidating or less available for doubt clearing and mentorship

Placement Experience:

IIT delhi is the best placements in india . IF YOU have a cg of 7 or above you will surely get placed with a good annual income. so many companies vist every year that i cant even name them like google amazon apple etc. highest package are in crore i guesss aroud 3-4 crore and avergae is about 20-22 lakh i dont know the perctange of students getting placed cause many prefer to go for higher studies, many for civil service, open up there own bussines. my plans right now is to get placed in one of the IT companies

Amazing campus life at IIT Delhi

Likes

I liked the environment of IIT Delhi which is better than most parts of Delhi.
Seniors and batchmates are full of brilliant minds.
A strong alumni network to help in our future.

Dislikes

Reducing of fees based on category of students.
Full of brilliant students which increase the average in semester exams.
Condition of some of the hostels is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

chose IIT, Delhi because it is one of the most reputed institutes for Engineering and provides us a secured future.It also has a strong alumni network that helps students a lot. The curriculum is well related with real world applications and also provides us lab facilities. The do prepare the students market ready. Mid sem after two months of course starting and end sem after next two months. Also quizzes occur within these two months in some courses.

The quality of the infrastructure and campus is so good.
The alumni network of this college is very strong.
Inside this college no one can feel bad or alone .there so many things or people for it.

The girls and boys ratio of the college it is low.

Placement Experience:

Placement are good in my college.After 6th and 7th semester students become eligible for placement.80-90 percentage students get placement inside the campus.To many companies visited like jame street etc..

My Annoying College

Likes

The alumni network is really strong which impressed me the most
It offers us to play sports we desire to play
The cult culture is really good and making me interested

Dislikes

Making social interaction with girls they consider themselves to be on some pedestal
The attendance policy is really exhausting
The culture of running behind grades is toxic

If IIT is not providing placements which college will. IIT is government funded institution so we have reservations and because of reservation some non eligible students come in and disrupt the overall average package and percentage of people getting placements

My IIT Delhi is one of the best IIT in the country and the world

Likes

My college is good at academics and cultural activities.
No ragging is there and also disciplinary committee is very strict.
Faculty is very good in academics and very friendly.

Placement Experience:

Top domestic and international companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Google, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Intel, HSBBC Holdings, IBM, Walmart, Bajaj Automobiles, Accenture, JP Morgan, Cisco, Deloitte, Caterpillar, Amazon, Adobe, TATA, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, ONGC, etc. visit the IIT campuses to recruit engineering graduates for various job roles.

Honest review for a freshman

Likes

There is a clubs and people for whatever you may find your interest in.
The food in the night mess is great you can enjoy your whole college life with the amazing food.
The buildings and classroom are great and well designed.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities should be improved.
Not that I hated it but the fest didn't met my expectations level.
Some professors here are a little hard to understand and boring but maybe that's just what engeneering is.

Placement Experience:

That is what is best here in the four or five year journey of your engeneering you spend here that makes you ready for anything life hits you with. Every type of students get out after completing their degree including startup founders, civil servants, corporates (placement) and even in the art industry. The placement of the college is around 80% including the person getting PPOs.

On campus placement of IIT Delhi is good but the off - campus is more impressive based on this year placement .Companies like Bain , Mc kinsey , Tata , Nexus and many more visits campus this year and offers a decent package

Entangled threads of IIT Delhi.

Likes

Overall infrastructure of the campus is nice.
The peer group is highly intellectual and creative.
It provides with a lots of much need exposure and career building opportunities.

Dislikes

The faculty is great in their research but not good in teaching.
Most of the teaching assistants don't know what they are meant to do which leads to uncertainty
Many of the equipments are now old and gives faulty readings.

Placement Experience:

Placement interviews are held at the end of the seventh semester. Students having a CGPA of 7 and above are eligible for sitting in placements. Highest package in my course goes around 30 LPA, while average is 29 LPA. Mostly all the students who sit in placements get one. Currently I am thinking for pursuing M.BA from IIM to pursue consultancy.

IIT DELHI: PROS AND CONS

Our college has rich facilities for counseling services. Moreover, seniors are there to help cope the mental pressure during the start of the college
Faculty is top notch and well educated .
Infrastructure of main building and lecture hall complex is very good. Sports facilities are well diverse.

Dislikes

Every part in the course is graded. If an amateur wants to learn, he/she might still be in huge mental pressure.
The professors communicate only in english language.
Infrastructure of old hostels is very bad and presently, fragile.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are available in the college. These are more prompt for students in branches like computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering etc. However, students in non circuital branches are required to work hard to develop skill sets in technology fields to get placed. About 40% students get placed in some sort of job, with an average package of about 1300000 INR. Students become eligible for placement as soon as they complete their course credits.

i really appreciate the the professors and the teaching methods here also the mentorship qualities of the seniors they are so good in mentoring us .
the infractusture of our campus is really well planned and modernized having a centralised AC system , huge lecture halls , a very multifacility central library .
for focousing the real world problems for every lecture there is a practical lab for the course so i think this is really a good way to experiment our learned theoritical knowledge.

Dislikes

i think the crowd of the campus is very vast thats the thing i did not like .
in exam time the library gets full so thats a secound thing i did not like
some times the mess food i did not lke about although those are eatable .

Placement Experience:

generally after 4 th semester students become eligible for placement but there are some bright students got placement after 3 rd sem too. there are many companies like microsoft , tcs, google etc . the average package 40lpa. there are 92 to 94 percent students getting placements .

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season.
