Honest review for NITJSR

Likes

I like the overall placements and interships stats and pays
I like the hostel life in nit jsr with all my mates
I like the cultural events in the college

Dislikes

The senior junior relationship is very much fucked up
The curriculum here is very hectic and tiring
The classes will feel like monotonous and like a 8 to 5 job

Placement Experience:

My main reason to get into nitjsr is due to the placement stats it has very good placement stats when compared to other nits the average package is 20 lpa and for the electrical branch 18 lpa and the percentage of students placed is roughly 95 percentage in non core the placement in core in nit jsr is also very good and high paid for it.

Likes

There is very good placement percentage in our college.
Faculty members and HoDs are supportive.
Technical team and is really amazing & best chance to grow with seniors.

Dislikes

The infrastructure should be more developed like IITs
Many times there is drinking water shortages in ho ki î
Academics is very hard so scoring good CGPA is challenging

From 5th semester student are eligible for internship and from 7th semester student are eligible for placements. Many companies visits our college like Flipkart, Tata steal , Tata motors,ashok Leyland.

Likes

placement of this college is very good and sports facilities are good too.
campus is closed and you can live your hostel Life in fresh air because many trees are in hostel
single rooms are given to each students so this is good for privacy according to me.

Dislikes

faculties are not that much experienced according to me.
campus security must be increased in order to avoid any crimes of accident.
bus facility should be maintained properly

Placement Experience:

atleast at the end of your course you will be having a job in your hand. the reason behind this is that the placement is very good in this college and almost all the students are placed in this college . only the students who are interested for masters don't. take placement. if you don't get a job then you will be having atleat skill so that you can find job off campus

Campus Review of NIT JSR

Likes

Hostel,mess facilities and the lecture hall complex with centralised air conditioner.
Transportation facilities are also available.
Greenery is everywhere and a lot of space wander.

Dislikes

The weather of this city is in warmer side.
A lot of area is not utilised and not so clean.
Open campus issues is the big issue , college is working on this issue.

Placement Experience:

Placement are the ice on cake of this college, a lot of students just attracted towards the placement scenario of this college.From 7th semester students are eligible for the placement who are eligible for the companies.98-100% placement

NIT Jamshedpur - A college to watch out

Likes

I liked the bond between juniors and seniors.
The environment of coding in this college is phenomenal.
I have selected this college because the placement rate of civil engineering compared to other colleges are better.

Dislikes

Apart from hostel building and lecture hall, infrastructure is very few. Although some new infrastructure is being constructed.
For playing outdoor games there are fields but they are not being properly utilised and maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because there are further more scope in future if you choose this course ( mechanical engineering also ) as after engineering GATE exam is conducted by several IITs which helps you to get job in several PSUs. In 8 semester there are approx 30 subjects and for each subject there are specific faculty asigned who are also well qualified from IITs and NITs.

Journey of a CSE student of NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Likes

Placements, internships are the best of this college. But apart from that the fests are pretty good and the classrooms and hostels are the best among nits.
Hostels are just too good like boys get single room right from their 2nd semester with balconies.
The college atmosphere is calm and soothing.

Dislikes

It's not a closed knit college so outsiders are allowed to pass through.
Attendance is made hectic nowadays 75% compulsory.
At times the college administration is pathetic.

Placement Experience:

The placements are the USP of nit jsr. In the 3rd year itself we are eligible for on campus internship opportunities. Being from the cse branch around 40-50 students of my class bagged internship offers from top MNCs in India and abroad like Google, atlassian, Microsoft etc. Companies that visit our college are like BNY mellon, Citi Bank, Google, atlassian, Microsoft, Cisco, cloudera, rubrik, fastenal, cultfit, ge healthcare, Airtel and many more. Highest package is 83lpa and average of cse is 27-28 lpa and all branches combined 15.98 lpa. Around 98% students get placed every year.

Honest review about NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Likes

Like placements,hostel and fully AC furnished vantilated classrooms
It gives more opportunities in sports and in extra curricular activities

Dislikes

It needs more development on infrastructure .
Mess food quality is not up to the mark it should be improved

The placement in this college is comparable to many iits itself here 98.6 students placed in civil itself and from 4th year students eligible for campus placements and many companies visits from core and none core all example London stocks,L and T ,Tata etc.. and highest placement from Civil branch is 21 LPA and avarage is 9.5 LPA and nearly 99% students gets placed and I will continue jobs after placement .

Likes

I like placement scenario and percentage of placement
I like academic building which have centralised air conditioned.
I also like faculties behavior and hostel facilities

Dislikes

I dont like here any place for hangout on weekend.
There is not canteen facilities in our college.
Our college has not closed campus so we have outside people also visit our college

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is very good of our college students got eligible for placement after 6th semester. Many companies got visited in our college like tata, ATLASIAN etc.. Highest package is 80 LPA and average is 10LPA. Almost 95 percent students get placed.

Golden moments never be back again.

Likes

Things I like is placement. Good amount of core and non core companies vists our campus every students gets placed with decent package
Nescafe , Indian snacks , canteen where we can chill after the classes
Classrooms are ver big.we can use phones.proffesors don't notice much

Dislikes

There is no particular site for placement so some what difficult to manage
Much more grasses around.college land getting wasted. Instead they can construct good infrastructure
Girls in time is 9 pm . And boys have no in time.

Placement Experience:

1. In 7 th semester students gets their placement. Student who don't get placement even in 8 th semester the companies comes so there is no issue. 2.highest package is 83 lpa. About NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Likes

The classroom is very good with a/c and projector.
The campus is very green. The air is very pure.

Dislikes

The hostel doesn't have wifi and no network connectivity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The EEE course is very chill the professors are very lenient while some are very tough nut. The faculty is highly qualified they hold PHd from reputed institutes like IIT, NIT. I choose this course because of rank. The exams have moderate difficulty few days study can get you 8+ cg.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
