Good sports facilities available for students
I like easy to pass the semester exam good
I am enjoying hostel Life full of joy and beautifully

adminstration process very slow response time very long
Always internet problem every day problem related to internet
Always same foods provide every days no new things add in the mess

It is good in the placement good employability Many company visited in the college like tata steel and Tata motors,atlassian, Adobe, Amazon, Facebook etc 100 placement almost placement and my plan is seating in the placement

Glimpse of nitjsr

Likes

No classes on saturday and sunday.teachers are helpful
Gym outside the hostel..whenever you want u came
No restriction on outgoing. .you can go outside with friends

Dislikes

No auditorium in nit Jamshedpur, no washing machine in hostel
Poor wifi connection in hostel ,lane port ate not working properly
There should be two girls per room..no any advance facilities for parents

Placement Experience:

Third-year student become eligible for campus placement Companies visited are Amazon, Microsoft, oracle, infosys, deloitte, paytm, byjus, optum and more than 750 job offers and 250;companies visited. The highest package is 85lpa while avg is 35lpa. 100 percent students placed in the electrical branch in 2023.. After getting degree I want to join any tech companies like microsoft, Amazon.

Review for NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Likes

Placement is something which is the best about this college.
The seniors are great and cooperative and they help students. There is no culture of ragging by seniors.
Over the semesters many fests and cultural nights are conducted in the college which keeps us entertained.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a bit better.Since it is an NIT..infra could have been better.
The old professors are some time lazy ones and dont teach properly.though mostly good
The college could have more shops inside the campus with better facilities.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements,students are eligible since the 3rd year. In 2023 around 250 companies had visited and around 600 offers were made. My branch of electrical Engineering has an avg package of 18 lpa and the highest offer in my branch as well as college is 83 lpa Overall college has a placement percentage of 98 percent and EE has 100 percent placements I too plan get placed after getting degree.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR is sooo underrated

Likes

Here I like most is there is no mandatory attendance criteria
Hostels are great with good quality food and water
Placement is killer here and best thing here

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not up to the mark and average

Placement Experience:

Placement is the primary factor for opting NIT JAMSHEDPUR as placements are great as it exceeds the average package 15 lakhs per annum with 99 percent of students getting placed. Coding culture is also great here.

A HONEST REVIEW OF NIT JSR

Likes

The placement is very good in our college . The faculties are also very knowledgeable . A very good mixture of young and old proffesor .
The seniors are very supportive , They will guide you interms of placement , they will brief you about which club to join .

Dislikes

The worst thing about my college is that there is no gym.

Honestly speaking i choose this course because i am not getting CSE in this college and also the placement of this college is one of the major factor . faculty student ratio is good in this college suffcient amount of teachers are there honestly i don't know the exact faculty student ratio.The qualification of proffesors are very good there method of teching is also very good . Some of the faculties have done there masters from IITs .The exams are held in semester wise. Per semester there are 2 exams one is midsem and the other is endsem . To pass the exam it is sufficient to start studying just one week before the exam.

placements and even attandence policy is a bit liberal
Hostels ,LAN,sports facility and dimond jubliee building
Classrooms are world class and even making friends is not a big deal

Dislikes

mess food ,faculty,there is no criteria for relative grading
infrastucture is poor ,more sports and technical facility such as labs
there is no auditorium and college should not only focus on building hostels

Placement Experience:

In terms of placements this college in among top 5 NITS of our country with average package of computer science being 27 lpa and overall average is 17 lapa even core palcements are very good in this college because of the fact that it is located in jamshedpur

Placement is extraordinary with 12 lpa average for college and 25 lpa for cse alone
Hostel facility is very good with full wifi and lan connection
Faculty members are very good and very supportive seniors

Dislikes

Campus is not much up to mark but in making state
Open campus is a problem for this nit as due to this end time is low for girls
Weather is not so pleasant as there is too much hot.

This college is known for its very extraordinary placement like the placement of metallurgy is 95% and average package of 14 lpa so from this you can guess what is for cse. Cse have 25 lpa average with 100 % placement

Not as much as I expect

Likes

The academic building is so good and properly furnished with AC, fans, proper lightning, windows,etc.
The college are having all types of sports facilities like badminton courts , lawn tennis court, football court , etc.
Some seniors are so kind and supportive. They properly guide us.

Dislikes

The facilities are not so kind and supportive toward students.
The campus life is not so good. The main problem is that it is an open campus that is why it is not much safe for a girl student.
The college are laging in the infrastructure.

Placement Experience:

6 semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement and internship. Many companies visited in our campus like Amazon, make my trip, Atlassian, Adobe,etc. The highest package of 83lpa was offered by Atlassian and the average package is 13-14lpa. Around 90 percent of students are getting placed with an average package of 13lpa. I want to become software developer in good companies like Amazon, Atlassian, Adobe after getting my degree.

It's all about NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Likes

The ambience greenery here and there is quiet calming for someone who came from a main city
Behaviour of students of different states, we all collab here with each other
Classroom and hostel facilities are dam good and comparable to few newer IITs also.

Dislikes

Absolute marking scheme in semester exams is a nightmare
Strict 75% attendance criteria which should be followed in order to appear in semester exams
Lack of availability of market nearby the institute campus.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester onwards you will be eligible for 2-month summer internship opportunities and 7th semester onwards you will be eligible to apply for 6-month internships and FTEs. Companies like TATA STEEL, Amazon, Deloitte, and ZS associates are a few of our prominent recruiters. The highest package is 80LPA and the Average package is of 11 LPA around 95% students are placed every year.

A short note on Nit jamshedpur

Likes

Daimond jubluie Lecture hall complex is amazing where classes held.
Central library facilities are very good.

Dislikes

Campus of Nit jamshedpur is open so due to these our campus road is common for local village also.
Only few shops in college so they have their monoploy.
No any nearby good tourist place for vaccation.

Placement Experience:

Placements scenario of our college is good and quite decent . As an average everyone get 10-12 lpa irrespectective of any branch . Almost 90 percent of students placed every year and many opt for higher education like MBA . After completing my course i want to become an government officer in IES .

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
