I liked greenary here 8 live cleanliness in roads here. The curriculum, the idea of doing fests like sports cultural technical that helps in overall development of students. They also keep planning certain events that keep us entertained and engaged

I disler the air quality of this area so poor
Dust all around on copies clothes table etc
Food is not that great but sustainable and this area is too costly

Placement Experience:

7th semester. but one can sit for an internship in 3rd year around 200 companies visited and almost all got placed the location of this college serves as a plus point 90 percent of people get placed my plan after getting a degree is to get placement.

I disliked the fact that this college does not have any big auditorium or hall for college functions to occur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is primarily focuses on the computers,operating systems and its software of which I like the most from my childhood. There is so much of scope in this field.faculty to student ratio is of standard.A student can reachout faculty and clarify their doubts but a teacher cannot inspect and care about every student.The term exams are at the interval of standard times but there is so much difficulty to score high in these exams.

Placement Experience:

Summer internships are available after 2nd year around 30- 40% students get internship. Students get ready for internships after 3rd year. Placements are ok ok in CSE the placement is around 10 to 12 L per annum.

NIT jamshedpur very beautiful college with many facilities available like swiming pools,
At NIT jamshedpur faculties have huge knowledge and have good qualifications. It depends on students whether they are interested in subject or not. Some teachers are friendly to students and some are not. So it is on students how they will rece
The placement in NIT jamshedpur is quite good company comes compared to other NITs in good location . Most students gets a decent placement yet you would surely need to work hard . The profs are generally that supporting yet if you work hard you get.

Dislikes

The fame it carries. NO ONE, literally no one would believe that nitjsr such an awestrucking place, without themselves coming to this wonderland . Worth mentioning, it's better than many iits and almost all nits. Still, it is one of the unsung insti
The distant dispensary. Sometimes I feel like booking an ola to visit to the doctors there. The wicked powercuts. These may visit you on Sundays for a very small duration from 8 AM to 5 PM. Enough to screw your weekend.
The clubs are ill funded. This sounds so common, but is a grave speed breaker in the effective performing of the clubs on bigger platforms. The grand library. It has all the books that I never need. And lacks all those which I need the day before the

Package Details: - The highest package offered was 83 lakhs, showcasing the institute's potential for attracting top-tier employers. - The average package was 16 lakhs, reflecting a strong overall placement performance. Placement Percentage: - The high placement percentage of around 95% underscores the institute's commitment to ensuring students' employability. Personal Plans: - After obtaining the degree, my plan is to pursue an MBA, building on the strong foundation provided by the undergraduate program. - The diverse exposure and industry connections gained during the course will contribute to my MBA journey.

NIT JSR: It takes time to love it but you will surely

Likes

The senior junior interaction is awesome there are no cases of ragging and seniors are very supportive too
The lecture hall complex is one of the best in NITs as it has so many modern day facilities
Sports and cultural clubs are very active and get good participation every year

Dislikes

The idea of compulsory 75% attendance is not good as we cannot do so much of what we want in college
The labs in first year are not well maintained,some equipments do not function well
College is in outer corner of the city so you have to travel for market facilities

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements Tata motors,TCS, Infosys,ICICI are some of the big companies that visit us every year Offers are sufficient as we have atleast 95% students placed in every batch The highest package for this year was 83 lakhs grabbed by 6 students and the average package was 8.6 lakhs Every year close to 98% are placed on campus I plan to get a good offer and get placed in a core sector company

Nit jamshedpur college review

Likes

Placements and packages are better than many top colleges
Hostel facilites are good and we get single room from second year.
Social in this college is also good considering the cultural and technical fests

Dislikes

Most Laboratories are having older equipments
Professors ecpect us to learn most of the things on our own.
Internet is slow and wifi facilites are also poor

Placement Experience:

This college ensures hundred percent placements of the students with top multinational companies like atlassians and adobe recruiting students every year for the non-core jobs. Being located in the industrial city of Jamshedpur, core placements of college is far better than many top colleges. Average package of electronics and communication branch is about 27 lakhs. Only this year six students got placed in atlassians for an annual package of 83 lpa.

Likes

Placements ratio and average,highest package of nit jamshedpur.
Diamond hall jublee complex.classes are royal.
Various clubs and societies are there in nit jamshedpur. They work very efficiently for well being of student.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of college is quite poor. Auditorium is not there in colleges
Library is small in size.books availability is quite less.
Campus is open and shopping malls,markets are not present inside the Campus.

Placement Experience:

In 5th semester students become eligible for campus internships and from 7th semester campus placements starts.More than 100 companies and 500 offers are made in campus.The college nit jamshedpur is widely preferable and popular for its placements. Placement in core sector is the identity of nit jamshedpur. More than 90% students get placed in nit jamshedpur. Plans after degree is to try for highest package of nit jamshedpur.

Likes

The fests at NIT Jamshedpur are thrilling to watch and enjoyable .
The placement statistics of NIT Jamshedpur are really attractive .
The classrooms of NIT Jamshedpur are digitalised and have Centralised AC .

Dislikes

The college is not yet under a closed campus and aims at getting a closed campus soon.
The professors like at every engineering college do not babysit the students and most of the work has to be done by the students themselves.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for internships from the 5th semester and for placements from the 7th semester . More than 750 job offers were made by over 250 companies in 2023. There were 90 first-time recruiters . Highest package from BTech was 83.4 LPA and average package was 15.98 LPA . Most students received package between 10-20 LPA . Placement rate stood at 98.87% . Adobe , Axis Bank, Atlassian and Oracle were some prominent companies that visited NIT Jamshedpur . 458 offers were made during 6 months inetrnships 2023 and 177 offers were bagged during NIT Jamshedpur summer internships 2023 . My plans after getting the degree are to give my corporate life all the time I can to excel at life .

Simple but a good place for your growth

Likes

Academic building is quite the thing to see and study there as it's fascinating
Supporting and encouraging behaviour of faculties
Nice campus with greenery all around with necessary shops available

Dislikes

It's a open campus which can be dangerous sometimes
There's quite a land of area left for just nothing.
Many left out land areas can be used to built auditorium which is not there.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are good even better than some NITs which are ranked top above this one . like it's average placement are quite comparable with some top nits . More than 90% students placed is what data from some last year's shows .

The best thing I liked about the Institute is the placement of this Institute.

Dislikes

The thing I disliked is that the college is not closed campus.

Placement Experience:

After the second semester you are eligible for the placement. There were lot of companies including Google, Microsoft, etc that visited our college. The percentage of placement in the year 2023 is 98.87%. My plan is to get a placement of above 30 lpa after graduation.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
