Political science honours are best for those preparing for civil services and government exams There are two batches. Morning and evening Both have 80 seats approximately. Faculty members are very friendly. They have a qualification of PhD, m.phil, MA Exams are conducted on time. There is no delay in semester exams

I chose M.A in English as I love literature and wanted to learn more about the subject. The faculty members were excellent. They are very supportive and helpful. The course is on time. All the faculty were highly qualified and their teaching methods are very interactive.

As i want to make my career in banking sector so it is a good choice to do graduation in bachelors of commerce which gives you many advantages in terms of clearity. Students to faculty ratio - it is quite good . almost there is 1 teacher for every 30 students in the classroom. Qualification of faculty- they are very well qualified and have high quality teaching skills. They focused more on practicals study than theoretical study. Semester- semester exams are conducted every six months. If you follow the notes of teachers and attend regular classes then you will easily score good marks in semester exams.

As I did graduate from commerce so for advancing my knowledge in this field I opt master's degree in it which also helps me in the banking sector as I prepare for banking clerk post. Faculty to the student ratio: it is not that good enough there is 1 teacher for every 60 students which is a little bit high. Due to this all the students don't get proper attention. Qualification of the faculties - faculties members are highly qualified and have masters in their subject. Their teaching methods is good but they don't take regular classes due to which they cannot able to complete the whole syllabus in the given period of time. But they cover it by providing notes to the students. Exams - there is 2 types of exams are conducted in the college mid-semester which is consist of 20 marks and the end semester which is consist of 80 marks.

As I belong to the science stream but due to my keen interest in finance and accounting I choose the commerce field the graduation which opens up many scopes in my career as I wanted to do financial accounting services. The students to the teacher ratio are quite good. There are almost 4 teachers in the commerce department who are highly qualified. Faculty - they are very well qualified and experienced but they don't take regular classes which is the negative part of this college also. Semester exams are held after every 6 months of duration. The semester exam is not that though but you have to study each and every portion of the syllabus as questions is set by the faculties outside of college.

The placement & job opportunities are also provided by St Xavier's College on their campus. After completing graduation for those who have better skills and knowledge and their interest in selected companies. Market companies on our college campus and provide placement camps and take a test of students' skills and knowledge.

From semester 4 or 5 onwards students become eligible for campus placement i.e. they can apply in the companies which are coming for hiring the freshers. The companies which visit here for hiring are mainly from Ranchi itself. Some MNCs which came here were Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. The job role mainly are for customer service, sales person etc. The average package is Rs. 2 lacs. Only 2-3% of total students get placement offers.

Last semester the students get placement opportunities, till now I only have listened to TCL only to come for the placement the percentage of students getting placement is not so good it's approx 35-45%.

From 7th semester student usually get PPO(pre placement offers) & upto mid 8th semester all sudent get placed. No of company came this year of placement are 30. Average package is around 8 lac/annum,the highest package this year is11 lac. Nearly80% of students get placed from the campus placement.The rest students are either ppreparing for gate/upsc or have change their field . Currently i am praring for gate and my target is to get good position in any PSUs.

I m interested in Mathematics so I choose this course. Mathematics faculty is too good but they need more teachers as there are a huge number of students in mathematics. In the first year, they conduct only semester 1 exams. After 2 years they rush and complete their all exams. In conclusion, exams are not scheduled timely.
