Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

Faculty members are amazing, but even better is the crowd out here

Remarks:

IIT Madras is an excellent place to be at. The people here are also very nice and friendly. I am really proud to be here. The campus is rich in flora and fauna as well. The campus was built inside Guindy National Park if I am right. Therefore, we see a lot of deer, monkeys, and black bucks roaming on the campus.

One of the top 5 colleges in India

Remarks:

You have to start your college life in the first year itself. What I mean is you have to get a batch of good friends, have to participate in different clubs according to your interest, and there is CFI in the institute where you will be doing the mini projects. You have to participate in that also. Then only you will get the panorama of the life at IITM. There is a lingo called Insti Lingo. You better get used to it when you step into IIT Madras

It's the best campus in south region.

Remarks:

There are no bad remarks about the campus because it has good infrastructure and good facilities.this is the top IIT campus located in south.my campus experience is very good.

Great journey and tremendous experience

Remarks:

It's a great college in every field and everything which a student wanted and he gets it. Only some of the internal issues are there which the management or the college authorities should see them . As far as that concerns it's the best college.

Placement Experience:

100% placement is happening with students getting multiple options.This is the place where all the top companies like : Microsft,google,facebook,etc comes for placement and the average package comes to around 30-40lpa.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons. The online BS in Data Science and Application allows students to gain knowledge of this field from one of the most reputed engineering colleges in India.

The online lectures are taught by experienced faculty members from IITM. What I found most interesting was the professors' distinct approach to teaching. The students are routinely assisted by committed and supportive staff.

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.

The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.

Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.
