What are the important things to be taken care of in case of Management Quota Admissions in TNAU?

An affiliated college must adopt all guidelines issued by the Government in its affiliation order. TNAU shall not be held responsible for the deviations committed/done by an affiliated institution in the adoption of prescribed Government guidelines. The responsibility of verifying the candidates eligibility for admission to the management seats solely rests with the respective affiliated colleges. TNAU is not liable for answering legal queries for discrepancies or deviations, if any. However, the original certificates of the candidates admitted in the management quota of affiliated colleges will be verified by TNAU at a specified date as deemed fit. If a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria as mentioned in Section 2.1, his / her candidature will not be considered even at a later stage. All seats filled in the management quota are subject to the approval of TNAU.

What are the services provided by the Scholarship Cell of TNAU?

The central and state governments focus on providing a hustle-free platform for scholarships through a variety of schemes to students for their higher education. The Scholarship Cell functions in the Office of the Dean (Agricultural College and Research Institute), TNAU, Coimbatore in order to strengthen the bridge between the government providing scholarship schemes and students. The scholarship cell coordinates with all the constituent and affiliated colleges of TNAU with the undergraduate, Diploma and post graduate scholarships & fellowship governed activities. The mission of this Cell is To conduct orientation on various community scholarships of State and Union Government to the Institute Nodal Officers (INOs), administrative staff and all UG, Diploma & PG students at the commencement of each academic year.

What are the functions of the Hostel Management Committee in TNAU?

The Hostel Management Committee, an apex body of the hostel administration with Dean (Agri) as chairman. The administrative and policy matters pertaining to hostels were approved by the committee and also took important decisions and guidelines on various issues of the hostels. Hostel residents are expected to observe the rules and regulations prescribed for them as well as all the requirements of the social norms, humanity and hygiene that living together demands. Failure to observe discipline or violation of rules may make a student liable to disciplinary action which may result in the withdrawal of hostel facilities besides other action which the Institute may deem fit to take against him/her. The activities of the hostels are being attended by the Warden regularly who is in turn supported by eight Deputy Wardens, Residential Tutors, Hostel Prefects and Stewards. Every one of them has been assigned with specific work for the effective and efficient functioning of hostels.

Vanavaryar Institute of Agriculture was a pure class!

Admission:

Admission was through the university counselling as very limited seats are there and therefore admission becomes tough. Our college is one of the best but sadly it was in a village so not many students show interest and therefore admission becomes easy as 80% or so is the cut-off to get admission here.

• I got this college in counseling. I expect any government college but I got tnau affiliated college due to less cutoff. And I got engineering collegein counseling.. My family doesn't allow to take engineering course.. So I decided to take agriculture course

My college - TNAU

This is the top universities in Tamilnadu. 12th mark is enough for the admission in this college. The cut-off mark is about 195 for MBC Category and 197 for BC Category and 189 for SC Category. And for engineering Student the cut-off is about 178. For the other state students they need to write ICAR exam for the admission. I choose this college because of the top 1st in Tamilnadu. The college fest and cultural are more in this college than other colleges and college timing is also more than other colleges.

How life works in TNAU Coimbatore

This college is providing a professional degree and this college ranks in 5th in NIRF ranking. In case of south india this college ranks 1st. The schedule is somewhat hectic to follow but as we persist here we can manage.

I applied CIT,Chennai for computer science course its my 2nd choice I like forest very much and explore the forest. The admission process is through counseling and through entrance exam ICAR and 185 out of 200 cut is best to join the college.
