The views of a college student

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fees of complete course is Rs.700000 . Yes it increases gradually every year . In 1st year the fees was Rs.165000 and in 2nd year Rs.175000 . All the fees related to academic are included in that only apart from this exam fees are taken seperately during admission. There are scholarships provided on basis of need but students have to maintain certain cgpa aa to fulfill criteria.

GLA UNIVERSITY provide scholarship to students who have scored a minimum of 80 percent in class 12 and can maintain this scholarship amount by achieving a cpi of 8 each semester. Fees is 2lakhs per year and 84k for hostel and 38k for the mess.Mess is compulsory for the hostellers,rooms are quite good.Professors are well qualified and friendly enough.Also the environment of the university is good.

I have paid 1st year:- 176000 , 2nd year :- 181000 , 3rd year :- 186000 , 4th year :- 191000 Registration fee :- 1000 College provides some amount of scholarship who have no government service support in their background. And if you have good percentage in 10th 12th and good percentile in jee exam then some of the amount given to you by college as a scholarship My batchmates have the same fee which I have mentioned, but if you have 8 or more than 8 cpi in every semester then you have another chance to grab scholarship during the college years. UP Scholarship National Scholarship approx 66000 they give to you it changes very year

I like the faculty and facilities provided by the administration the most and also the curriculum provided by the department is up to requirements.

Dislikes

Focus is more on theory than practical which sometimes creates problems during practicals.
Sometimes the syllabus becomes repetitive and too lengthy.
Biotechnology placements are very average considering that we have higher number of subjects and internships than others.

Fee is quite high considering the large number of students, it is a reputable private University and has a brilliant placement record in btech and MBA. Different Scholarship programme are available for students and for biotechnology students we have to go for summer training of minimum two months after our second year.

Our college also provides scholarships who have to girl child studying in the college and make study of one child absolutely free.
