Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

Most honest IIT BHU review

Likes

The coding culture is very good. seniors are alwyas there to help us in coding and give us guidance
The over all culture of different club is very good . the club are very democratic in nature and very well organised
The academic is very good and non hectic in iit bhu

Dislikes

The campus is open. which means that there is no restriction for outsiders to come into college premisis which overall hinders our privacy.
The lecture hall are not ventilated, so due to humid whether of banaras it is very difficult to attend classes in summer.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement around 277 companies visited in 2023 which made 924 offfers to student in phase 1 of winter placement season, the highest offers was 1.68 cr and average package was 13 lakh per anum. in phase one 61% student got placed . previous year after full placement drive 81% got placed by campus placemnt i want to do mba from IIM after clearing CAT.

A Place changing your life

Likes

Interaction with seniors is really good.
You can find any facility you want to improve yourself.
Campus is cold and nature is awesome.Many clubs and sports you can join according to your interest

Dislikes

I didn't liked the Meals as I'm from South.
Old hostels and discomfort in room but new hostels are being built so it will not become a problem after 1-2 years
Bathrooms and fridge are not good as much as you think

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. From 5th semester students are eligible for internships around 170 companies are visited for campus placements.This year 1.68cr is the highest and 12.5 is the least. Average package is around 25LPA.

A life of an IITian in IIT BHU VARANASI

Campus Life and sports in the college and about grounds
I like mostly about clubs and councils present in the college.
I like the faculties they are soo good, they treat everyone equally.

Dislikes

I don't the food in the hostel that is the only dislike from my side

Every year we have more 89% of students get placed in campus placement. And there will be seperate council for placement section. You can also move to masters to another institute in another country. Our college is good for placements.

IIT bhu : good or bad

Likes

College life: iit bhu has good college life.
Club culture:club culture is very good here.
Placements: iit bhu has topnotch placements

Dislikes

Infrastructure is bit old and dusky compared to other iits.
Rooms are bit small and u have to accommodate 3 people
Food quality is good but it is repetitive

infrastructure which is very old style and not as the level of IIT
sports coaches as they dont teachers us about the game but only focuses on th egood playing students

due to recersion it was not good but afterall it is an IIT so it was very good compared to other private engenerring collges the hisghest package is 1.68 cr and its a domestic offer and average is 23 lakh overqall almost all the students who appear for placements gets placed i want to get a good job after getting my degree

Here attandance is compulsory 75 percent
Some of professors are not much cooperative but they value your work if it is really good

Here placements are excellent, especially for circuital branch and here internship opportunities are also high ,here it's upon individual how much he can work as acedemics are excellent avg package of lower branch 18 lpa

Brief insights of IITBHU

Likes

The placements of Institute are very good whether it is core or non core.
Sports facilities are very good . IIT BHU has one of the best sports facility across all iit of india.
It has good alumi network because of 103 years of legacy.

Dislikes

The thing i disliked about is that it is an open campus and anyone can enter in the campus without any check.
Mess food in the hostel are not very good.
Room are congested two sharing rooms are shared by three people.

Placement Experience:

As usual the placement was on high peak for upper branches and for lower branches is satisfactory. After 6th semester students were eligible for placements. Companies like google, amazon flipkart goldmann sacs reliance tata sprinkler jp Morgan Mercedes uber qualcomm etc. Total no. Of the offers this year was 924 and total companies came was 277. Highest package this year was 1.68 cr from CSE and average package was 20lakh Percentage of students getting placed was 80percent I want to do research after the degree

I have chosen this course due to my own interest and i found this as alloted by JoSSA.There are five proffesor and 128 student in this ece course.all are well qualified and cracked gate examination.the term examination is conducted two times.by styding very well any one can pass the examination.

What are the views of IIT-BHU students about Kashi Utkarsh?

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.

The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
The institute got 3 new directors.

These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.

Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.

SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
