PGPEX from IIM Calcutta is an excellent choice for someone who seeks growth in his/her corporate career. It is meant for professionals in mid management positions with a minimum 5 year experience in corporate.
This course is among the top MBA programs in the world, and it ranks high in the global MBA FT rankings. The competition is quite high for this course. It requires high GMAT scores and a strong application to get shortlisted.
You can check the compulsory and elective courses offered in PGPEX on the official website of IIM Calcutta.
The section-wise weightage for final PGDBA shortlisting is not revealed by these colleges. They analyze all these aspects and a candidate’s interview when putting out the final offer. The interview helps them assess what a candidate brings to the table. Even if they start announcing the section-wise weightages some day, that should not affect your test preparation. Your work experience and past academic record are unchangeable factors, but your entrance test score is in your hands.
Study for the entrance exam with utmost sincerity, and stop worrying about other aspects of your profile that you can not change.

Each of these IIMs has developed its unique personality over the years, and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.
IIMB intakes people with good and relevant work experience, IIMA seeks a good academic record and a bit of humbleness in a candidate, and IIMC looks for strong analytical skills (it has the highest CAT cutoffs).
During placements, companies that want experienced professionals prefer IIMB, IIMA is visited by companies because of its strong alumni list, and IIMC is preferred by the Banking Sector because of the perception that its students are more quantitatively oriented.
The three of them receive almost the same companies during placements. So for a candidate seeking good career opportunities in a certain field, all three IIMs are equally good. It is just that each one has a certain image associated with its brand, and ranks accordingly in the preference lists of recruiters.

The books followed by IIMs depend upon the faculty and the specific courses being taught.
Here are the commonly recommended books for these subjects-
This list is not fixed for IIM A, B, C, or any other IIM. The professors at each IIM have their own preference list of the books and resources for their respective course.
All the aforementioned colleges are among the best B Schools in India so the choice between them depends on your preference and future prospects. You need to determine what exactly you want from the program and where your career currently is.
In general, ISB is for people who have better industry experience, good leadership skills and decent academics. The other B Schools focus more on excellent academics throughout your career.
The ranking of these institutes in my opinion is ISB, IIM-A, B, C>IIM-L, FMS, XLRI,>SPJIMR
The above preference order is based on a number of factors like career progression, college market value perception, quality of faculty, quality of students, academic learning, quality of recruiters and infrastructure.
