IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The college placement standards are very good and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee is very hardworking and they really do a commendable job in helping us to get placed. If we want to take part in the placement process we have to register our name with the placement committee and they make sure that every one of us is placed as per our interest and stream. Around 100+ companies visit our campus during the college placement drive. The highest package was around 1 CPA and the average salary package was around 14.30 LPA.

All students from the senior batch and current batch who applied for placements were placed. The average wage package provided was 16.50 LPA, with the lowest offering being 9.50 LPA and the highest offering being 27 LPA. The majority of the positions available were in consulting, general management, analytics, and operations.

The placements here at IIT Kharagpur are strong, but if you're in the agriculture and food engineering department, you can have a hard time being hired if you don't have industry-relevant abilities to go along with your academic credentials. The majority of Indian agriculture-based companies are unaware that such a department exists at an IIT. IIT Kharagpur is the only IIT with a department of agricultural and food engineering. As a result, most businesses are unaware of it. Students are put in roughly 40-45 percent of the time. Companies prioritize M.Tech/dual degree students above B.Tech students. The highest offered wage was 40 LPA (international), while the lowest was 3 LPA. The department's average pay is 7 LPA, which is the same as the college placement average.

The college placement is superb. The college provides one of the best returns on investment. The college placement committee is helpful and professional they totally help us guide us and they make sure that every participating student is placed with a good amount of package. The highest package for our batch went up to 65 LPA and the average package went up to 22 LPA. Companies like Barclay, Goldman Sachs, Honeywell, Microsoft, MasterCard, Dr Reddy, Tata Steel, Accenture, TSMC, Sony, Rakuten, etc took part in the placement drive of the college.

An IIT is known for its placement opportunities. More than 90% of the students get placed in MNCs every year including a handful of international offers. The highest CTC in my batch went to Rs. 1.5 CPA offered by an international company. Recruiters included Barclay, Goldman Sachs, Honeywell, Microsoft, MasterCard, Dr. Reddy, Tata Steel. Some deserving candidates also received pre-placement offers.

The institute invites top companies for placements every year on the campus. 91% of the students were placed in my batch. ABG Shipyard Limited SBC Electronic Data Processing India Pvt. Ltd. American Reprographics Impetus Infotech (India) Pvt. Ltd. Were the top companies that picked up students from the course. Highest CTC was Rs. 2.4 CPA which also included many international offers.

IIT KGP has one of best placement rate in the country, specially for MTECH students. I got places in INTEL technology India private limited at first chance from the campus placement and it was very good experience overall. Same holds true for other specialty too.

The highest package for our batch went up to 24.03 LPA and the average package was around 14 LPA. I also received a pre-placement offer worth 20 LPA from Google. Companies like Honeywell, Excel, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, TSMC, Sony, Rakuten, Valuance, Google, etc visited our campus during the college placement drive.

from 7th semester students became eligible for placements and also, there were many internship opportunities in college from the 2nd -3rd year. The highest package this year was 2.40 crore. top-performing departments in placements were first CSE, then ECE/EE, then ME, then CE. total number of offers are 1540. The number of students placed are 1056. 1crore + offers, out of which 10 were domestic. 35+international offers were given. 420+pre-placement offers were given. My plan after getting degree is to grab a good job/placement.

The placement at IIT are well known by everyone IIT provides one of the best placement offers for deserving candidates. Total 85 companies visited our campus during our batch placement drive and everyone was lucky enough to get the handsome package. ITC, Accenture, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, Infosys were some big names that took part placement drive. The highest package for our batch was 18.50 LPA and the lowest was 12 LPA.
