St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students will be eligible for placements. For this the student must clear their semesters exam below that semester. The students are required to set ready of their semesters result and passport size photo along with admission slip before appearing for placements. Almost 50 to 60 companies visit my college every year and 30 offers are made. The package ranges between 2 to 3 lpa 80 percent of students get placed through my college My plan after getting my degree is associating with the right company that fits my interest and provides me better career growth.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is very bad. If your intention is purely to gain job experience and not money, then only opt for this college. The package offered is only 2-3lpa. Which is very low. My intention was never placement. I have plans for higher studies. That's y I choose this college for my undergrad. So that I can save money for going to a better place for my postgrad.

I am in my 1st year and i hope to get better day by day with more internships on the way also with enough knowledge about the technology world. My college seniors did get placed into IT chains also many pursued Masters and MBA I am looking Forward to work in the future after my degree

Getting placement depends on the percentage and also the performance of the students. Maybe they required 75-80%. After getting the degree I will either go for Higher education like MSc in zoology, botany, biochemistry or etc.
