IIT Jodhpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The college placement records are tremendous and the college not only focuses on engineering students for placement but also focuses on management students also. The college provides one of the best placements for MBA students. The college placement cell is also very supportive and cooperative they help us and guide us throughout the placement process. The highest package for our MBA batch went up to 25 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA which is pretty good. Bank of Baroda, Coal India Ltd, Microsoft, Google, etc visited the campus during the placement drive in the college.

The college provides you with a good return on your investment. The college placement committee is hardworking and is aware of the number of students participating in the placement drives and plan and schedule accordingly. The placement record of the college for our batch was 100%. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 18 LPA. I also receive a good amount of packages around 20 LPA from Microsoft. Companies like 1MG, MAQ Software, Crisil, Honda, Zycus, DRDO, Bank of Baroda, Coal India Ltd, Microsoft, Google etc participated in the placement drive of the campus.

As we are the first batch that is why I haven’t received help from seniors. I think the pre-placement talk will take place in the mid of October to December. The on-campus process of the final placement program will take place in the mid of November to February. Though I don’t know about the leading recruiters in the final placement program, I can assume it from our summer placement program. The prominent names that offered us the internship opportunity were Adani Solar, TCS, IBM, HP, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. I got a stipend of 43k per month.

Over 90% of my batch was able to find job offers through the on-campus placement drive. Top companies like Google, Graviton Trading, Zomato, Paytm, Deloitte, American Express, IBM, Oracle, DE Shaw, etc participated in our placement drive. The average package offered to us was over 16 lakhs. Also, our placement cell provided us with many kinds of seminars and workshops like pre-placement talks, Interviews, group discussions, online or written tests, and many more.

One of the best things about IIT Jodhpur is its flexible course curriculum. Even the core technical branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc. are taught important subjects like Machine Learning and, Data Structures and Algorithm. This helps students to expand their knowledge and creativity. The student-faculty ratio is 1: 60 which is pretty good. There are Teaching assistants apart from professors who help resolve subject-related queries. The faculties here are graduates from highly respected colleges of the world.

Our campus placements are very good. Our avg package for the CSE department is 23 LPA and 100 percent placement. The statistics for this year haven't been released yet for the other departments. We have 85 percent for both EE and Mech for last year with 16 lpa and 14 lpa for the last year. The rest of the stats can be found on the FAQ's on the student well-being website. I plan to pursue a Ph.D after graduating.

The placement ratio is good. Every major company visited in the college like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and psu company like bhel ONGC are also coming for hiring. Average package is different for different branches.computer science branch has highest average package.

Students are eligible for the placement from the 7th semester. Most of the students are placed within two months of the start o the placement season. Around 100 companies visit for placement and offer around 400 job offers to the students. In recent years, college is maintaining an average of 15.4 LPA and a highest of 62 LPA in the SDE profile. The placement percentage is more than 85% in our college. My plans are to get into a research university from abroad.
