Likes

They take a keen interest in teaching students and love to solve students' doubts.
The placement and training cell at nit uk is doing great works in past years with helping students get better opportunites in their 3rd year by getting interships from various companies to kickstart their careers out in the real world.
The thing that i like is how the students celebrate every festival

Dislikes

Mess food is really bad for the fee we pay, with little variety.
Hostels are good if you have a good company, but the mess food is disaster, you will get trouble to habitate yourself for the food.
One thing which is not to be overlooked is the hostel mess food for which we pay in advance which is not taken care of even after the frequent complaints by the students.

Nit uttarakhand is good if you can compromise on campus.

Likes

Seniors are good and help in many things and guide us very well.
Atmosphere of nit uttarakhand is very good and calm.
There is no regional boundaries between students here.

Dislikes

Small campus size it is frustrating because campus is main thing a college should have
Hostel rooms and food quality of messs food.
Some teachers are very rude and disciminate amoung students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good with average package of 11lpa and highest package of 21lpa also the lowest package was around 5lpa. Around 84 percent students were placed during 2023 placement season. I think I will prepare for gate after my degree.

Likes

Most i like the natural view here and easily accesible things what we want
Hostel life we enjoyed so much freedom to do what we want
Fest and program we like it so much it become a moment to celeberate

Dislikes

I dislike campus infrastructure. Course curricullum eltc
I dislike sports facilties academic facilties which is provided by college
I dislike the attendance policies and lack of support of teaching staff

Course Curriculum Overview:

# cse is my preference because it has wider scope in daily manner . #in first year in the curricullum we have to study the basic subject of all the branches # according to me the curricullum should be specific and branchwise from first year #the classes timing 8 am to 5 pm from morning to evening with lab classes included. We got free time between classed

About our college

Likes

I really play different games here for example badminton cricket football volleyball i personally play everything here.
Bonding between seniors and juniors is quite good here.

Dislikes

Small campus is what i dont like about here.
Less number off student intake is also i dont like about here.

Placement Experience:

Last year placements were average like 10-12 lps for CSE it was above 15 tho but this year placements are not so good (it is what i heared in college). Lot of students from branches other then CSE and ECE are preparing for other examinations like gate, civil services etc.

Insight of nit uttrakhand

Likes

Small campus so we don't have to run very far for our class
There is not so many students so here everyone get chance to show their inner skill.
Location is so much good it fell like we are in haven in earth and when rain comes after the rain the monsoon hits different,feel very calm and enjoy.

Dislikes

Very small campus which feels like we are leaving in a cage and also the small campus doesn't have good facilities there is no doctors in dispensary which make it even worse
As there are not so many students there is very much less compitition which do not enhance your abilities and also my friends fell there are not very much variety.
Very much strict about course curriculum and also if a person have 74.8999 percentage attendance the person will be repeating the course if not uses power which I feel is bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to learn about computer as I am very much in love with technology but in first year we learn all the aspects of all the branches In my opinion the curriculum need a strong upgrade as it is so much old and doesn't help in real world and also it only help us to build decipline only Teching method should be practical and there should no compulsion to the students to only learn the given course there should be flexibility in the course The exam held in every 21 days mid 1 mid 2 and then end term exam with this our sem ends actually papers are not very much hard but what hard it is the preparation we do in college we hardly prepare for the exam which make the paper difficult.

Read this before you take admission in NIT Uttarakhand.

It is situated in srinagar which is a very beautiful city.
Most of the seniors are good if you respect them they will respect you also.

Dislikes

Small campus. No campus life in Nit Uk it only have 10-15 acre campus at max for now.
Mess food and hostel facilities. Sometimes we found larvae in our mess food for proof we even have pictures.
You get locked up in hostel for boys it is around 11pm and for girls 9pm.

Placement Experience:

Most Students grab placement after 7th semester as far as in know. Many companies visit our campus some of them are samsung , L&T, Mahindra&Mahindra ,etc. All sre available at nituk website. Placement percentage of btech was around 80 percent. I think i will start a startup during or after my degree.

The courses are with par with the modern technologies and all the professors in the course are highly qualified from big institution. The environment for the course is on high level as it is a National level college . There are labs for all the studies to learn practically. We have semester based exams.

As i am currently in first year so i dont know much about the placements but hearing from seniors i can say that placement are actually not bad and uf you work for it you will get enough chances to get placed Average placement of NIT UK is around 8,00,000 depending on your branch
