NIT Puducherry Scholarship 2026: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

An overview of NITPY

The tuition fees per year is fixed at ?140000 for general category. There is a fee waiver of 50% if the total family income is below 5LPA and 100% waiver if the family income is below 1LPA. Additionally there is a 100% tuition fee waiver for SC/ST candidates. information regarding scholarships are frequently sent to students so that they can apply and avail the benefits.

A Bliss of a College but not yet

Tution fees: 62500 Rs(For General and OBC) Institute fees: 9900 Rs (For All) Tution Fees is free for SC and ST Students. However they are supposed to pay the institute fees. Scholarships are provided for Financially Instable Students(Below 1 lac and 1-5 lacs)

I'm paying a fee of 15000 per year and hostel fee of 24600. Fee wavier is depended upon caste and income in income certificate. My caste is obc and family income is 96k per year So I got a fee wavier. But some of my friends are paying 62500 per year and some are paying 125000 per year.

NITPY A place you hate but eventually love

We pay fees for every semster for academics both even amd odd semster its 62,500 each and for hoatel even semster is short and costs 26,000 and odd smester costs 35,000 general with no reservation has to pay full with ews you get waived upto 25000 and sc st fees is 5000

The fees structure may vary upon the caste system and also vary according the yearly income of the parents and it may vary from 5000 to 125000 and which includes college fees and lab fees and caution fees

Depending upon your income there are three types of fees and lower income 5000 and average income 30000 and higher income 60000 and based on category also there will be different fee structures and college will also provide only one scholarship that is nsp which will be giving different amount of money for different castes.The fees above mentioned involves the caution fees and lab fees and other. And hostel fees also upto 30000

College gate to Office gate

In our college( NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY). per semester we will pay 5000 as per the category like SC. Also the parents annual income is lesser than 1Lpa also they should pay 5000. Above that the fee will be 25000.The government employees should pay 67000. The tution fees is for me is 0.

Intersting facts about nitpy

There is nsp scholarship for students it helps them more and tution fee depends on their category and hostel fee is same for everyone .nsp scholarship provide 1 lakh in first year later the amount will decrease half of it.

Unsaid truth

For gen and obc whose parents' salary is more than 5 lpa, the tution fee is 63500 and whose annual salary is less than 5 lpa is 25000 and whose salary is less than 1lpa is 5000 and for sc/st and others its 5000. Fess increases annually. My complete cost for one semester is 97500. I got no scholarships as I didn't fit into any category. I have organized technical events in the college but haven't got any stipend for them.
