8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec

Dislikes

The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

Freedom the college has and it's environment
The teaching and staff is really good as compared to other colleges
Really good alumnis as they are helpful for guiding us

Dislikes

Small campus as there is not even a ground

Placement of college is dependant upon the batches before us so if the batches before us perform bad then it will affect the placement possibiities of the batch who comes the next year so I wud say placements vary according to that compared to main govt colleges like cet

Likes

Aesthetics of the college are really nice.
Public bus facility is just right outside the college.
Area is not too in the city or far from it.

Dislikes

Area of the overall institution is low..
Insufficient number of handwashes in the campus.
Few other things could have been better.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after 6th semester. Companies like tcs, tata lxi, nsk, nissan are few of the companies that came. The overall placement is kinda low but thats kinda true for all engineering colleges nowadays.

Good placements compared to other Engineering colleges in the district
Student friendly atmosphere without any very strict rules and have good programmes
There is no college uniform other than workshop uniform

Dislikes

Campus area is very small and there is no ground for sports
Placements are going down in last two years
Some faculties would not teach properly, we should self study

Placement Experience:

From around S6 students become eligible for sitting in campus placements. Many companies like TCS,TATA Elxsi,Wipro,EY,Infosys etc came to the college and mostly companies offer around 4lakh per annum. Around 18lahs per annum was the highest package got in 23 batch. Around 80% got placements from Computer Science department. I would be going to study M.Tech.

Likes

We have a good campus environment.The campus is very eco friendly and is full of trees and plants.
It has good teachers and some good friends

Dislikes

I didn't like the fact that there is no college ground .I would appreciate if there were little bit more spacious

Placement Experience:

Currently I am not in the position of campus placement but heard it has good campus placement.but since our department is bit more developing subject ..we'l need to take mtech to get proper placement.

JECC is not for the weak.

The surroundings of my college was very eco friendly and closer to nature with lots of greenery and different varieties of bamboo plantations. The overall campus was maintained neatly under constant supervision.
The faculty members are very much qualified for their roles and helps the students whenever needed.
The canteen food was of good quality and was affordable.

Dislikes

Lift facility to my department was unavailable and it was installed later after my graduation.
No kind of celebrations were promoted inside the campus other than an yearly 2 day techfest.
The access road from the main road to the campus is narrow and creates a lot of traffic at the time of college opening and closing. Recently they are trying to widening the road.

Placement Experience:

From the endof 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies like Arbee constructions, South Indian Bank, Sutherland that are regularly selecting students form my college along with many other companies. Highest package per company offered was around 6 lacks rupees per annum and average is around 3 lakh rpm. Around 30-40% students got placed. My plan is to prepare for the competitive exams to get a government job.

The green college

Likes

The most liked feature of our college is the cleanliness
Smart boards in every class rooms makes teaching and studying more easy
Regular exams makes us to study the topic thoroughly

Dislikes

Cultural events are comparatively less in the college
Only onam, Christmas and arts are celebrated
There won't be any night events in the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually we are the last batch of ktu 2019 scheme so the topics that are teaching is somewhat old and which is not used in now a days. Actually the syllabus needs to be updates. The new 2024 scheme students have updated subject which are more related to real world applications.

Good College life

Likes

The campus feels an aesthetic vibe and it's simple small structure.It sufficiently provides enough space for every student's and has good staffrooms.Alao washrooms are present in every floor for both boys and girls.
Extra curricular activities are much appreciated in our college.We have a league conducted for badminton, football, cricket etc..SBL,SSL ectc are SCT Super league,SCT badminton league.We also have College teams for all items and events .
The cultural fest of SCT is most popular among kerala trivandrum.The CULT A WAY is a much awaited fest by tvm students and colleges.

Dislikes

Sometimes placements go on a low scale mostly due to industrial effects,not taking freshers.
We don't have a ground and our sports all are conducted at different turfs and other grounds.

Placement Experience:

Placements came on a large scale in past years but now it's a bit less that is mainly due to the companies not taking freshers. But overall the placement scale is good based on other colleges in trivandrum.

An honest insight into college life and academics

The things that I liked about my college is having many opportunities to improve our skills.We have many clubs like IEE,CSB,robotics,NSS and many more.Each has offerings the needs of students that is required by students of each batch.
NSS abbreviated as national service scheme helps students to know more about people living outside the campus that is helps to know the efforts and sacrifices many peoples around us having daily.
Iam a computer science student and our college club like IEE conducts many hackathons which helps me personally to improve my skills that are required for getting a job.also by participating in such activities improves or communication skills.

Dislikes

The dislikes about my college mainly is we have only limited space.Our college doesn't have our own ground.Our sports day is conducted in a public ground or stadium.Also we doesn't have a stage for conducting our cultural fest.
Or college doesn't have a regularly cleaning staffs.Mainly the drinking water facility is very bad.Recently we come to know that the water contains many bacterias and many died insects.
Due to limited land the opportunities for many activities is also limited.

The placements about our college is quite okay. We have many companies that is hiring students from our campus but the main problem is many companies are giving only low packages. If the students are eligible for higher packages also they are not getting enough salary according to their talents. The percentage of students getting placed is more in computer science batch which means that other batches like electronics and communication, mechanical, automobile are not getting placements. 95% of the placements is for cs and aiml students.

Affordable, but campus life is boring

Traveling is really good as the college is in highway

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is there but only few are got placed. The companies coming for placement are local private companies and small amount of salary package. Students of semester 7,8 are got placed. The average salary package is 20000/-.
