Assam Science and Technology University Guwahati Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The students get eligible for placement from the 2nd year. It is one of the oldest and reputed institute of NE India, It has given many scholars and great personalities to the society. Companies such as Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, ICICI Securities, Axis Bank, SBI Life and HDFC AMC, Marico etc are the regular recruiters however it is mostly known for its Banking and Insurance placements for the last few years. The highest package ranges from 7-8 and the average package ranges from 3-3.5.

From the second year, the students are eligible to seat for campus placements. Companies like Airtel, Asian paints, ICICI Bank, Vishal, Axis bank etc makes a visit to this institute The highest placements offered in this institute is Rs. 6.05 Lakhs and the Average is Rs. 50,000 90% of the students get placed under campus recruitment. I'm going to start my own business if I don't get into any campus placement.

The placement rate of the college is well above 90%. With companies like ITC, Nestle, Coca Cola, Amul, Godrej, Reliance Life Insurance providing excellent packages. The average package offered is around 4 LPA with the highest around 7 LPA. My plans after getting the degree are to get a good job and to set up my own business after a few years.

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 5th semester. Many companies like SBI, ICICI BANK, ASIAN PAINTS, HDFC BANK etc. comes for the campus placement. The highest package is provided by the Asian Paints with 7-8 lakhs pa. Students securing 60% above can sit for the placement. My plans after my degree are to get a job in the HR department.

Also, there is a pre placement offers for students performing extremely well in their internships. 2)The companies that visit every year are- Asain Paints, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, AXIS Bank, SBI Life, North East Small Finance Bank, Marico, Ekart, Vishal Mega Mart etc. 3) Highest placement is - 6.5 -7 lakhs per annum ( Sales Associate)provided by Asain paints and the Average is 3.5- 4 lakhs. 4)95% 5) To get a good placement.

Placements are for 4th-year students. That is, students in the 4th year become eligible for going for placements, and according to previous records, AEC provides no. of placements to students, and from these, students are selected for different posts. This year, for the post of Assistant Engineers, all 33 students are selected from AEC.

In the last semester, that is the 10th semester, the student is eligible for campus placement. College provides campus placement if students can't find it own there own. No companies visit salary of Rs 10k is offered to the architect. 100% of students get placement. After getting my degree, I have plans for starting some business, related to architecture.

AEC is the first engineering of Assam, and of the most reputable one. Tuition fees is very affordable, especially compared all the other engineering colleges of these days, and the placement scenario is pretty good as well.

AEC is probably the best engineering college in Assam after IIT Guwahati and NIT Silchar. This college will be good for you if you have messed up your JEE exams and if you are planning to get a job in PSUs. NRL, OIL, ONGC, AGCL and many PSUs visit AEC during the placement time and offer good packages.

As a student i have always dream of becoming an engineer for which i choose to appear in the CEE exam and good qualified for the Assam Engineering College and as of low admission fees it was affordable for my family.
