VIT offers a supportive learning environment with a faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:40-50, promoting positive interactions. The grading system follows the Choice Based Credit System, including two mid-semester exams (CAT 1 and CAT 2), four internals, and a final assessment test (FAT), contributing to a total of 100 marks. For the law degree program, the fee structure is detailed and consistent. In the first year, the total fees are approximately Rs. 195,000, covering a tuition fee of Rs. 164,000, a one-time admission fee of Rs. 10,000, a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 4,000-Rs. 5,000, and development and lab fees ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000, plus miscellaneous charges of around Rs. 10,000. The second-year fees reduce to about Rs. 180,000, as the one-time fees are not repeated, primarily comprising the tuition fee and additional charges between Rs. 23,000 and Rs. 25,000.
