GEHU Dehradun Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I m pursuing a BSc in agriculture honor from GEHU at Dehradun. From my course, the theoretical work is well and good. The faculties are very interactive or supportive of the students. Their qualifications are postgraduate or PHD scholar mainly. The examination process the timely happened i.e mid-term and end-term examinations. Mainly in mid-term, there is two exams per day and in the end term, there is a 1-2 days gaps between the exam.

I applied for the Btech Cse course because I have seen that the industry is shifting to technology based day by day so I decided to apply for this course. Faculty is very good in terms of both qualifications and teaching they are highly qualified and have done their masters. The teachers are very polite and friendly. The exams are a little bit longer but the exam difficulty is easy.

Since I was a child I had an interest in machines and new technologies so I wanted to make my future in CSE. The faculty to student ratio is approx 1:15. All the teachers are highly qualified and have done their master and PhD from reputed colleges like Nit, Iiit, and their teaching method is quite simple and easy to understand. The exams were little time bounded but the level of paper made the exam quite fair.

From 1st year the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies such as Vipro, Adobe, Amazon, Tata, etc visited and a total of 750+ offers was made. The lowest package offered was 1.4 lacs pa, the average package was 3.4 lacs and the higest package was 54 lacs. There were many profiles offered such as Computer Information Specialist, web designer and many more. 95% of students were placed in Btech. My plan after getting a degree is to get a good job.

Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester. Placement classes are held to ensure students are well prepared for the placement procedure and interviews. Several companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro etc showed up with average packages of 3.5-4.0 lac for BCA students which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. Personally, placements are not my priority right now and I wish to focus on my freelance and startup venture and hopefully continue at Graphic Era for a Masters in Computer Applications next year.

Final year students are eligible for campus placements, many companies visit every year with the best in market salary packages for different posts and fields. Companies like Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, cognizant, etc. Arrive every year for campus drives.

Placements are good enough if you take admission in here you will surely get placed. But still, you have to work hard. Percentages of students were around 70-90%. And a student with 85% academic marks placed at 11lakh package.

Students can sit for placements from the 5th semester onwards and the placement cell is very much active .they work their best to place the students in great companies. The network of placement cells of the graphic era is honestly quite huge and MNC like Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Flipkart, etc visit here. It's majorly up to the student if he/she can grab it.

From the 3rd semester, you will be able for the placement. Companies like byjus adobe and Vedantu plant spark many more like 150 companies visit here. The highest package of placement till far is 70 lakh per annum you should have 80% and no backlog for placement.

85% of students get placed from CSE department and other department students also get placed well some go for ima or upsc and some prepare for govt. exams. My plan is to do ms from abroad and do good-paying jobs at big MNCs.
