IIT Jammu B.Tech MnC FAQs

Ques. How does Mathematics and Computing at IIT Jammu compare to CSE in terms of placements?

Ans. MnC graduates at IITs typically receive placement packages comparable to CSE, as companies value the strong mathematical and analytical skills of MnC students. At IIT Jammu, MnC students are recruited by the same set of companies as CSE, including technology, analytics, quantitative finance, and data science firms. The closing rank for MnC (7,412) is slightly higher than CSE (5,988) in JoSAA 2025, reflecting its high demand among students.

Ques. What is the JEE Advanced rank required for Mathematics and Computing at IIT Jammu?

Ans. As per JoSAA 2025 Round 1 data, the General category (Gender-Neutral) opening rank for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing at IIT Jammu was 5,989 and the closing rank was 7,412.
