VIT Bhopal Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

In the final year after completing all courses we can appear in the placements, This year 2023 the average package was 8.9LPA and the highest was 60LPA, companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Paypal, TCS, and many other multi-national companies come here. 70 to 90 per cent of the students get placed in the college. After completing this course you can study higher like Phd or you can get a preferred job.

B.Tech CSE core and specialization, both are very popular. There are about three slots of different teachers for the same subject and like 70-80 students per faculty in one class/slot. Grading of marks for students is relative hence, grades depend on the gradient of students, however, it is difficult to gain an S grade.

I was very much interested in ECE branch. After graduating there are broad range of opportunities. This branch has a global demand you get placement easily if you have some core and coding skills

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. The highest package offered by a company was 50 LPA. According to our college faculties around 80% of the students were placed last year. My plans are to take up a job in the field of Software Development and learn and grow in that field.

From 6th sem students become eligible for placement. They are various placement activities like emersion and hack a thons. The percentage of students getting placed is high above 90%. The average package is 6lacs and the highest is 58 lakhs.

I choose ECE with a specialization in AI and Cybernetics. I choose this branch as I am very interested in smart electronics along with AI-integrated machines. This branch is perfect for my interests. For all branches, There 4 types of subjects: University core, University elective(you can choose any from the list of subjects), program core, and program elective. You will be introduced to the program core in 2nd year. For around 50-60 students one teacher is assigned to a subject. You usually will have 5-6 subjects each sem and might have 2-3 months interim sem for covering subjects. Councilors are not there here. Most of them are Ph. D.s, few are Ph.D. scholars. Teaching methods are the same as inter. You will have a mid-term and term end or two mid-terms and term-end. In term end, all 5 modules are tested( Usually 2 Q from each). There's relative grading. Papers are of moderate level and sometimes they are hard. But in that case class average drops and it becomes easy to score an A grade.

The students get eligible for campus placement after 3rd year. Almost 500 companies participated in the campus placement with the highest package being around 75 LPA. The average package is around 8-9 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, TCS, etc. come for campus placement.

Centralized placements are done from the Vit Vellore university so it is obvious getting placed is not an issue. Big companies offer like Google and Amazon and the highest package last year was 59 LPA. Around 75% of students get placed in university and Vit surely pushes students to do their best.

My course is BTech Computer Science Core. The main reason why I chose this particular course was the amount of opportunities this field provides in the future with almost everything around us becoming technologically advanced. The college boasts of PhD faculty having immense expertise in their respective fields. You can expect a 100:1 student: faculty ratio. The faculty has so far been okayish in terms of teaching as the classes were going in online mode due to accommodation issues in the hostel. Talking about the exams. There are midterms which are taken on the basis of half the chapters in the syllabus and then there are end-term exams which have the full syllabus. These have moderate level difficulty and only attending class and doing class questions is not enough to score well. You will have to practice extra questions from other sources as the professors only practice a few questions during class and move on to the next topic.

From the end of 6th semester your training for the placements start and after training companies arrive here to give placements. There are several placement offers made from different companies. Companies like Google amazon Adobe Wipro TCS etc visits here. The highest package here was of 59lacs that was offered by Amazon. There are almost 90% placements rate here.
