Dr. Manoj Kumar Misra is currently working as the director of Allenhouse Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He holds a B.E., an M.Tech. and a PhD in Computer Science. He has over 22 years of experience in the education industry, during which he has had 14 published papers in different journals and 79 citations. Before AIT, Dr. Manoj worked as an associate professor in the Department of CS at PSIT, Kanpur.

You've held significant roles within educational institutions throughout your career. What personally draws you to the education sector and keeps you connected to it? 

My bond with the education sector stems from a profound dedication to nurturing students' holistic development. It's also a dynamic field that keeps me abreast of the latest technological advancements. Moreover, the mutual respect between students and educators within this noble profession has been a major driving force for my continued involvement. The sector's capacity to effect positive change and witness students finding employment and creating opportunities for others brings me immense joy.

As the Director at Allenhouse Institute, what principles guide your leadership style? 

In my leadership philosophy, I see a leader as someone who is strategic, inspiring, and motivating. Central to effective leadership is fostering a sense of teamwork. A leader should inspire collaboration and empower each team member to excel. It's crucial to maintain balance within the organization, bridging various departments, including management, staff, and students. Leading by example is key; a true leader doesn't just delegate but actively participates alongside the team to achieve goals.

What roles and responsibilities do you feel most accountable for to the university and its students? 

My foremost responsibility is to chart a path that aligns the organization with its vision. Creating an environment conducive to the growth of both faculty and students is paramount. I see motivating faculty and students to engage in research and innovation as pivotal to the institution's progress and the student's development.
