NCWEB stands for Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board. It was established in 1943 to provide higher education opportunities to women in Delhi.

NCWEB offers only two courses at the undergraduate level, such as BA and B.Com, while at the postgraduate level, it offers programmes such as MA and M.Sc.

Undergraduate admission is based on your Class 12 marks (Best of Four subjects). CUET exam is not required. For PG (postgraduate) courses in NCWEB, admission is through the CUET PG entrance exam.

NCWEB Admission 2026 offers a great opportunity for women in Delhi who want a Delhi University (DU) degree but cannot attend regular college classes due to personal, family, or other reasons. Students attend lectures only on weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) or during academic breaks

It is a special part of Delhi University (DU) that allows women (only those residing in the National Capital Territory of Delhi) to earn a proper Delhi University degree without attending regular college classes every day.

Why was it started?

Many women cannot join a normal college because of family responsibilities, household work, jobs, financial problems, or other personal reasons. NCWEB was created in 1943 to help such women continue their education. It started with just 3 students and now has more than 31,000 women studying.

NCWEB Admission Process 2026

NCWEB UG Admission Process (B.A. & B.Com.)

The Undergraduate (UG) admission process in the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), University of Delhi, is completely online and merit-based. There is no entrance exam like CUET-UG for NCWEB seats. Admission is granted purely based on Class 12 marks.

The entire process is contactless - from registration to fee payment. You can complete it from home through the official portal. The admission process for NCWEB is different for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses.

UG admission is completely online and merit-based. No CUET is required. Admission is given on the basis of Class 12 marks.

NCWEB PG Admission Process (M.A. / M.Sc.)

PG admission is entrance-based through CUET (PG).

  2. After the results, register on the DU PG Portal and fill out the CSAS-PG form. Must select NCWEB as a preference.

Examination Pattern (Common for UG & PG)

  • Same as Regular DU Students: NCWEB students appear in the University of Delhi examinations along with regular college students.
  • Semester System: Most papers are evaluated through Internal Assessment (25–30 marks) + End-of-Semester Theory Exam (70–75 marks).

NCWEB Admission 2026 FAQs

Ques. Can I change my NCWEB teaching centre after admission?

Ans. No, mostly you cannot change the centre after admission. Once you select the centre and pay the fees, it is fixed. Many student do mistake here. So choose a centre near your home carefully. If you select the far centre, then the travelling problem will come every weekend, and it becomes very tiring.

Ques. What happens if I don’t attend classes regularly in NCWEB?

Ans. If you do not attend classes properly, a big problem can happen. You need around 66–67% attendance to give the exam. If attendance is low, the college may not allow you in exam. In some cases, they give a chance, but not always. So don’t ignore classes, thinking it is an easy system.

Ques. Can I prepare for government exams with NCWEB easily?

Ans. Yes, this is one big advantage of NCWEB. You get full weekdays free, so many students prepare for UPSC, SSC, banking, etc. But it depends on your discipline. If you waste time, then no benefit. NCWEB only give time; success depends on how you use that time properly.

Ques. Is NCWEB difficult or easy compared to regular DU?

Ans. The course and exam are the same as regular DU, so the difficulty level is also the same. The difference is that you get fewer classes, so you have to study more by yourself. Many students think it is easy, but actually self study make it a little harder if you are not serious.

Ques. Do NCWEB students get an ID card and college facilities?
