You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
I started my career in Degree College as an Assistant professor then I moved to Lucknow University, and after retirement worked here at an agriculture college. During the whole tenure of my teaching and research, I came across the syllabus which is introduced from time to time not as per the market requirement of our students, therefore drastic changes are needed in the syllabus from time to time as per the market requirement so this is one observation which I have had, and the second is the attendance of the students is going down with the change in time so the teacher or the administrator or even the policymakers they should focus on it how to increase the attendance of students in the college.
Being the Director, of Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyalaya, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
The position of Director in any college is directed to the innovations and doing things that one is supposed to do. When I joined here, there were some lacunas in the college, the college was lacking behind and I introduce some of these things here. Other than agriculture courses I started BSc. science, BSc. mathematics, and Biology, and as per the requirement of society BCom course has also started and the thesis which was lacking in this college at the MSc. level has been introduced. Other than this we had a long period of corona pandemic. During that period online classes, and online seminars, were conducted for the benefit of the students and after the end of Corona, we started classroom lectures by different faculties. We recently conducted a Seminar on the National Symposium on Intellectual Property Rights so being here in this position I tried to do my best so that the students get more and more attracted to higher education and learn new things.
The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute/ university/ school?
The Education component directly depends upon the culture and the facilities available in the country. Recently our Honorable, Prime Minister, has tried to follow the foreign pattern and introduce reform of national education policies in 2020. But my personal opinion is that the rural population of our country is not still very prepared to adopt the new education policy although it has been introduced at the national level. I am not sure how much we are going to have appropriate.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?
I deal with all kinds of problems that may be related to hostels, faculties, and management so every time every minute I have to bring new and innovative ideas to the college so that the college can progress at a larger and higher level. That’s the basic responsibility of mine.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?
The college’s priority should directly impact the teaching and secondly the research purpose, agriculture farming also developed in this college which runs different projects like beekeeping, polity, fisheries, and so on. So, both the things teaching as well as research should be done together so that the students learn more.
When you first came to Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyalaya, what was your vision for the university? Has it evolved, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?
When I came here, to this college there were too many things that the management expected to be done, and I interacted with them and tried to develop them and whatever they wanted to do here. I have developed most of the things in agriculture, as well as in the teaching area in the college. So, in my opinion, I am fully satisfied with the things I have done in favor of college for teaching and research purposes.
What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?
This is a very old agriculture college, it was established in 1995, and the students who passed out from this college are in government jobs, in banks and some industry, and also some of the students marketing jobs and having good promotions. I would like to suggest to the people in the society that the entire curriculum of agriculture and the syllabus are good opportunities and fully applicable if the students go through this BSc Agriculture and MSc agriculture program. I think in the coming 15-20 years they won’t have any problem getting the job and establishing themselves as a good entrepreneur.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
I think there’s no magic it only depends on the hard work that you do. For everyone, I would like to give my suggestion that they should do hard work whatever the field they like or whatever their interest they should adopt that only by doing this they will surely get success in their life and never get disappointed.
