What is the vision and mission of your college/institute/university in terms of providing education and preparing students for the future?
My vision is to empower women to make an impact on the world. Empowering female students through professional education integrated with values and character to make an impact in the world is what I work towards. Additionally, our goal is to provide quality engineering education for female students to make them competent and confident enough to succeed in professional practise and advanced learning. We wish to establish state-of-the-art facilities and resources to facilitate world-class education that integrates qualities like humanity, social values, ethics, and leadership in order to encourage contribution to society.
How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?
We offer unique tutoring that caters not only to outgoing batches but to the entire student community as well. Training needs analysis is done to categorize the individual requirements of each student. The students are then trained for exponential growth by overcoming their flaws and through practical application of the knowledge they have gained. Our goal is to provide quality education and up-to-date information to the students so that they find a place in the fast-changing profile of the industry. Besides strong academic input, the students are required to do mini projects and gain hands-on experience with the hardware and software tools. Visits to industry and expert lectures from academia and industry add another dimension to the teaching-learning experience. Novel teaching methods, coupled with intensive laboratory training, are imparted to get the best out of everyone. Interactive sessions, the conduct of seminars, etc. are the added co-curricular activities dealt with by the department that help in the making of an engineer beyond compare.

How do you ensure that students feel comfortable, safe, and supported during their stay in the hostels? What is your stand on the matter of ragging?
We have always been focused on ensuring the students feel comfortable, safe, and supported during their stay in the hostels. We have built up numerous modern facilities for them. All hostels have an experienced resident lady warden to look over the well-being and safety of the students. We have CCTV cameras in all prominent places of campus buildings and common places. Statutory committees like the Women Welfare and Empowerment Committee and Grievance Redressal Committee, comprising female faculty members, have been established to address students' issues. We also have an anti-ragging committee that takes a regular stake in ragging incidents There are also suggestion and complaint boxes that are made available for students and faculty to drop their concerns in the form of a written complaint.
