By means of public announcement, the officials requested all the candidates to update the necessary documents like Aadhar Card, UDID Card and Caste Certificate. What is the JEE MAIN EXAM 2026

JEE Main Exam is a national-level computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and serves as a preliminary to getting admission to undergraduate courses (B.E./B.Tech/B.Planning/B.Arch) at premier engineering colleges, namely NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other institutions/universities by state governments of India.

  • The test is taken twice a year, i.e., in January and April. The JEE Main test is taken by over 10 lakhs of students each year, of whom only 2.5 lakhs make their way through and take JEE Advanced.
  • Joint Entrance Exam, JEE (Main), consists of two papers:
    • Paper 1: For B.E./B.Tech. of NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, and JEE (Advanced) as a requirement to be admitted to.
    • Paper-2A & Paper-2B: For B. Arch and B. Planning Courses.
