Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts counselling and seat allocation process for 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 other-GFTIs. Candidates who qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced are eligible to participate in JoSAA Counselling.

  • JoSAA Counselling 2020 is expected to begin around the third week of June.
  • Candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced 2020 will be eligible for seat allocation in IITs and candidates who have qualified JEE Mains 2020 will be eligible for seat allocation in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
  • In 2018, the total number of seats in NITs were 17,868.
  • Total number of seats in NITs for 2019 are 21,133.
  • Around 300 seats are increased for female candidates under the Supernumerary Quota For Women applicable from academic session of 2018-19.
  • Evident from previous year data, NIT Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal and Rourkela are the most preferred institutes by the JEE Students for admission in B-Tech and B-Arch courses
