JoSAA will release category-wise NITs Cut off 2021 in the form of opening and closing ranks for all 6 rounds this year. National Institute of Technology (NITs) are the premier engineering institutes in India for undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. There are a total of 31 NITs of national importance regulated by NIT Council autonomously.

Admission Process at NITs

• Candidates must appear in JEE Main 2020 in order to appear at NITs.
• Admission to NIT is solely based on merit that students secure in the entrance test & counseling by JoSAA.
• After 2017, all NITs have allocated a total number of 19,000 seats for the undergraduate program and 8,050 seats for the post-graduate program. 
• As per the admission policy for NIT states is that out of the total number of seats, 50 percent of the seats will be reserved for students of the particular state where the NIT is located.
• The other 50 percent of seats will be granted based on the All India Rank (AIR) of students from other states.
