A Good Score in NEET for BDS 2025 admission depends on NEET cut off marks. The counselling is done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% of seats of the All India Quota (AIQ) and the counselling for the remaining 85% is done through state quota.

Based on the last few years’ data, the expected BDS cut off can be anywhere between 720-137 this year. The minimum mark required in NEET for BDS in government college is 500+. For admission to government dental colleges like King George’s University of Dental Science (Lucknow), and Government Dental College and Hospital (Jaipur), your score should not be less than 600 in NEET 2025. Last year, for admission to these colleges, students with a NEET score of 600+ were given admission to dental courses. So a good score in NEET for BDS 2025 is 600+ marks. But for private colleges like  MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (Bangalore), Panineeya Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre (Hyderabad), etc, 450+ score in NEET is required.

How many marks are required in NEET for BDS?

Getting 600+ is a very good score for BDS admission through NEET 2025 in the top govt. colleges. Government Dental College and Hospital (Jaipur), Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai and Jamia Millia Islamia (Delhi) are some of the top government dental colleges accepting 500+ marks scored in NEET 2025 exam.

A score between 400-500 is also a good score for admission to BDS courses in any dental college through state quota counselling. And scoring around 300 in NEET can still get you into some private BDS colleges depending on the ranks and scores of the competing candidates.
