Government Medical College (GMC), Thiruvananthapuram is an academic institute for medical education under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala.

It is the first medical college in Kerala and is among the top 20 medical colleges in the country. The college admits candidates to the undergraduate medical course, MBBS through NEET conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).

Inspiring students who wish to take admission to this college in this academic session have to appear in NEET 2017. In 2016, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) has replaced all state and national level exams so qualifying NEET exam is purely the only way to get a seat in this college. This year the exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 07, 2017.

Securing a seat in this college is subject to the clearance of NEET 2017 Cut Off. The cut off is based on the counselling conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). One should be well aware of the previous year cut offs and the trend they follow and the NEET 2017 Exam Pattern to be able to secure a rank suitable to grab a seat in the college. Competition for the college is very tough so if a candidate is able to secure a rank under 500 then the chances of getting a seat are high.
