Nil Ratan Sircar (NRS) Medical College and Hospital is amongst the oldest and most revered medical institutions in India offering medical programs in various disciplines at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Every year, in order to fill 100 seats in its prestigious MBBS program, the college shortlists candidates for admission solely on the basis of ranks secured in NEET. NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam convened by CBSE for admission to medical programs in MCI approved colleges.

Candidates who wish to pursue undergraduate medical studies during the upcoming academic session have to appear in NEET 2018. This year the exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 06, 2018. The results are expected to release by June 5, 2018.
Candidates striving to take admission in MBBS course have to secure a decent rank in NEET Cut Off suitable for this college. It is important to note here that, 85% of total intake at NRS are reserved for State Quota Candidates and the remaining seats are open for All India Quota Candidates. A study of the retrospective cut-off trend at NRS reveals that candidates need to secure a rank lower than 2000 in order to be able to seek admission to the college. Candidates should bear in mind that NEET results will be published by CBSE following MCI/DCI guidelines on category and domicile quota and hence the ranks will vary accordingly.
