Odisha NEET Counselling 2021 registration process has begun on the official website. Candidates can pay the online registration fee and upload the documents for verification till January 18, 2022. The provisional seat merit list based on the candidates registered for the counselling process will release on January 24, 2022 at 5:00 PM. 

• For admission in 85% state quota MBBS and BDS seats, candidates who have qualified NEET 2021 Cut off can visit the official website of OJEE and fill the forms. Seat allocation will be done on the basis of the Odisha MBBS state rank, choices filled, reservation category and the availability of seats. Check NEET 2021 Merit List

Applicants who have successfully qualified NEET, and want to take admission under the state quota with 85% reservation in MBBS or BDS should complete the registration process only on the official website as per the schedule mentioned below in the table.

Odisha NEET Counselling 2021: Eligibility

Candidates will have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to succeed in the Odisha NEET counselling session in the year 2021. All the criteria to prove the eligibility are given below.

1st Criteria - Citizenship Status

• The candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha OR Children of All India Civil Service officers serving in state of Odisha cadre

2nd Criteria - Age Group

• The age of the candidate should have 17 years as of 31st December 2021
• There is no limit of maximum age for any candidate who wants to apply for the counselling session

3rd Criteria - Academic Background

• The candidate must have passed Class 12 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
• The candidate must have secured minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at class 12 for General Candidate (GE), 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for benchmark disability candidates (PC-GE).
• The required mark for Physically Challenged candidate of SC/ST category is 40%.

4th Criteria - Entrance Test or Examination

• The candidates will have to get through NEET 2021 examination to apply for the course of MBBS or BDS in the year 2021
• The applicant who did not sit for NEET 2021 or did not pass the examination will not get permission to attend the counselling process
• The minimum qualifying mark for different category of candidates are as follows:
  • General (GE) – 50th percentile
  • Physically Challenged (PC-GE) – 45th percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Scheduled Caste (SC) – 40th percentile
  • For Physically challenged candidate of SC/ST category – 40th percentile

Eligibility Criteria for NRI Candidates

• NRI candidates who have qualified the NEET UG 2021 are eligible for the admission process.
• NRI means the children or wards of a person of Indian origin residing outside India. Such candidates have to submit the following documents in support of NRI eligibility.
  • Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer)
  • Relation of NRI with the candidate
  • Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarized.
  • Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer

Registration and Application Submission Process

After the announcement and publishing of the Odisha NEET 2021 Result, every candidate will have to register with their credential to the official website of OJEE. All the steps to complete the application process are mentioned below.

• Receive the generated log in credential and log in with this on the website

Documents Verification Process

Applicants need to select a venue for verification while filling up the Odisha NEET 2021 Application Form will be completely done through the offline mode. Candidates must report to the specific centre where the counselling will take place with all the required documents. Odisha NEET Counselling 2021: Seat Allotment Process

The following stages are being involved in the seat allotment process:

State Merit List Publishing

• After the successful completion of the verification process, a merit list will be published by the authority for those applicants who are eligible to proceed to the next round.
• The rank of the candidate will be released on the basis of their performance in the examination or NEET 2021.

Choice Filling and Locking

• In this stage, a candidate can select their preferred course and colleges with no limitation.
• The applicant can fill the form with many choices. After completion of this, all the candidates need to lock their choices.
• The locking option is very important as successful completion of this step will help a candidate to proceed with the seat allotment process.

List of Seat Allotment

• The list of seat allotment will be released by the authority on the basis of the preferences of the candidate made during the choice filling process and also their position in the merit list.
• List of seat allotments will be released for each round. The candidate who will allot their seat must inform they’re concerned institute before the deadline.

Odisha NEET Counselling 2021: Important Instructions

• There is no OBC category in the state, therefore, such candidates will be considered in General Category and the minimum qualifying marks shall be 40^th percentile. 
• Candidates claiming seats under SG (State Government Schools) reservation category must have passed their 10th Board Examination under the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. 
• Candidates, who are natives of state of Odisha and wish to claim reservation under Ex-Serviceman (ES) category, must submit their relevant documents to Rajya Sainik Board, Bhubaneswar. 
• Candidates who wish to claim seats under EWS categories have to mention the same during registration. 
• ST/SC seats are not interchangeable.
