I like the infrastructure of the college and the faculties are also good they are so polite and having great sense of humour
Campus life was nice . a lot to wander around. to enjoy and to cheerish the beauty. beauty
There are many societies which are advanced and provide financial assistance and their given certificates are very useful in future.

Dislikes

Fees hike are good but cost of study is high there is no hostel provide in college student have facing many problems due to this there is not any scholarship, financial assistance and job got on campus with stipend
Such there is nothing in college which i don't like . i cheerish everything

Deshbandhu college: an unidentified gem

Likes

The crowd is very diverse with different ideologies and different thoughts which makes it a better place to study.
College has a canteen and cafeteria which is nice. The good quality is also good. The vibe of cafeteria is awesome. You can sit for hours there.
The course, history Hons., improved my personality. Now I'm able to tackle situations with different perspectives. It has widened my area of thoughts.

Dislikes

Placement cell. It is indeed active but not many mainstream companies come for hiring. Internships are also not provided by the college.
Ground. Deshbandhu college has not a big ground. It has 3 grounds which are scattered which makes them small.
Politics. In the election season (student council) there is so much havoc. There's only pamphlets, cards, rallies and Slogans.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's a prejudice for history that history is all about learning dates, but it's not true. In Delhi university it is absolutely not true. The course has recently been revised (year before last year), which makes it more relevant. The courses does not just tell about the paper but make it parallel with contemporary circumstances. There are 9 core classes in a week. Exams are held on the semester basis and its difficulty level is moderate. Previous year question papers help too much in exams.

well for starter the college offer variety of course
canteen also provide variety of food option and there is also good management in the canteen.
there are lot of society which offer diffrent type of skills which can help in future

Dislikes

infrastructre is not the best only library has AC . in summer student suffer from heat waves without ac the room temprature go maximum 50 degree celcius
Crowd is also not the best majority of them are jaat and gujar who are here for only politics . they cause a lot of disturbance in the campus especially during the election time.
the faculty of history dept is not good but for department like pol science or science dept is very well maintained . history dept have no unity , teachers talk shit behind each other back.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had interest in history from the very begging of 6th class and i scored 530 out of 800 and oi valure course over any college and i suggest everyone to do that . the only improvment i can suggest to my college is to maintain a unity among Deapartmental staff because without that nothing is possible . altough teachers dont say no if you ask them to help you but you will feel left out from other dept. as a history student the test and exam are quite easy if you have a little interest in the history .

Deshbandhu Collage In and out

Likes

The collage campus is situated in the centre of kalkaji South Delhi
This collage has great infrastructure and good canteen
This collage has best in class library in DU South campus

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in deshbandhu that offers internships paid as well as unpaid. The also have jobs for the skilled as well as you can also prepare for government exams of diffrent cadres according to your liking

My college experience at deshbandhu

Likes

College exposes you to the numerous curriculum through number of societie.
One of the best college in the field of threater, sports, music society and NCC of all wings
Faculty and staff is very supportive and provides guidance in every aspect.

Dislikes

Campus size I snot too big, all the classes are not air conditioned accept labs.
Political climate get very voilative during election time
Canteen area needs to be incresed, ac should be installed and it's food item needs to be improoved in order to provide a healthy environment

Course Curriculum Overview:

So my course is political science, btw I am science background student but have had keen interest in political scince, so the most attractive thing I found here was with pol sci. I can also opt for maths as I had it as my GE SUBJECT. This carriculum does lot to me, it changes my overall personality and view of world and also opens n number of decent jobs for me.

REVIEW FOR DESHBANDHU COLLEGE

Likes

I liked the infrastructure and the food prces inside college
I liked the campus life and the fests that happen
The faculty is excellent and they do give mentorship.

Dislikes

There is not much scope for major sports like cricket and football
The college have a quite bad image in people minds because of the fights that happen here every now and then
The college have a little bit of more poltics and they do castism in every field possible

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students become eligible for campus placements.,TCS , Bajaj Capital , ICICI Bank, etc comes. The highest package offered is 5LPA and average package offered is 3.5 LPA.35% students gets placed every year.

My review of DBC

Likes

Teachers does not force to attend lectures
you’re not caged like any others college
cafeteria area is too good to hangout woth your friends

Dislikes

canteen is not upto the mark and the food they provide is also not up to the mark
we don’t have big ground in our college so it’s a negative point
they do not organise any sports fest or inter department tournaments

Placement Experience:

they provide placement at graduation level also and they give average packages of 3,4 lakhs per annum i don't want to get placed righnow so I didn't applied in any placement offers that they have provided. We also have placement cell for this purpose our college have placement cell society to aware students about the company's which are coming to out college for the placements

My thoughts about Deshbandhu College

Likes

The faculty of the college was immensely hardworking and supportive for the academics
Even though being an off campus college, the infrastructure of the library and labs and facilities provided were highly appreciable
Despite being an introvert i could explore a lot and made amazing friends through various societies and competitions

Dislikes

A few improvements like an upgraded auditorium would be taking the college to better places
The college can also provide more sports related facilities such as sports ground for various sports and dedicated timeslots to use the equipments
The classes can be made slightly cooler for the extreme summer months and more sitting spaces can be added for the sudents

Placement Experience:

The placement Provide great internship opportunities that really help in the corporate world. Various fares were organised throughout the year for companies to recruit students for internships and permanent jobs. My plan is to have further studies into a masters degree and not take up a job currently

Course schedule should be more relaxable for students to make the course interesting and enthusiastic for students, also promote the other guest teachers for lectures and make the subject more practical voyable
The campus life is very much adventurous the students exposure with all kind of people in the campus
Teachers are helpful and enthusiastic have good knowledge of subject and commanding on thei core subjects they also mentor us very precisely

Dislikes

Regular change in the time table and not to encourage the students to part in workshops
No any kind of workshop exposure for students where they can imply their theoretical knowledge
Shortage of useful things and low budget for fest and other activities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Chemistry hons. Has wide range of expertise in today's World it is tremendous course if we study it in right way, with right guidance with teachers and right place, in this college there is totally a good exposure of lab and relevant knowledge of subject I gained.

Best Campus to learn and live

Likes

Great surrounding with full of greenary Teachers are very friendly and helpful
Peacefull environment even students can do their project or things peacefully
Extra curricular activities are always cherry on the top in the college NCC and sports are the main highlights

Dislikes

Infrastructure was not upto the mark at that time
Administration works were slow time taking process
Canteen was not consistent and food was also not upto the mark

The cource has been very close to our history which always gives to learn that how our past was how we developed this influenced me to learn this cource Teachers should make the class interesting towards the cources which always help students to understand the topics better The exam timings were pretty good and the difficulty level are very good which make students to prepare well
