BIT SINDRI - Second to None

Likes

I like the vibrant college culture and good mess food.

Dislikes

The college is situated in remote are where travelling is not so easy.

Placement Experience:

The college has impressive placement opportunities, with numerous companies coming for student evaluations. The average package is Rs.700,000, while the highest package last year reached Rs.500,000. The Mechanical branch boasts a 100% placement rate. Personally, I aim to pursue Government Jobs and attempt the Engineering Services exam conducted by UPSC.

Bit sindri.

Likes

Hostel life is pretty chill.very few restrictions.
Bikes are not allowed but everyone keeps them .
Hostel life is pretty good, very few restrictions

Dislikes

There are no fests being conducted .....
There's nothing outside the college campus
Too much dust in the surrounding areas .

Placement Experience:

The companies start coming in during the sixth semester. The highest package offered this year was 44 lakhs and minimum was 2.5 lakhs. The highest package was given by D.E Shaw , I don't remember the lowest.

Incomparable BIT

Likes

The Campus life here is good as expected but you have to compromise something over the other. The faculty is well experienced
While joining club or society one will develop leadership qualities. The senior junior relationship here in bit is unexplainable as it teaches us
Placements is average but it is upto us as seen in past of Bit. One get good guidance of many seniors and all branches here

Dislikes

The hostel here in bit is not as good. Like common washroom is most irritating. The infrastructure is somewhere not satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Internships are provided from third semester only however for placement it's the fourth or third year that is sixth or seventh semester. Companies like Tata,vedanta often visit the campus. The average package being 3 lakh.

Placement: The placement of this college is far better than private colleges
Facilities: Some of the labs are advance
Faculties: Professor are supporting and helpful.

Dislikes

This College is located in the remote area.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good .The highest on campus placement was 16LPA ,Off campus was 44LPA and average placement is around 6LPA.Some of the companies also provide internship to 3rd year students.

All about our college BIT

Likes

I like the campus and the hostek crowd here.
The campus sizd is 450 acres wuth lush green environment.
The food quality here is best and hygenic.

Dislikes

I disliked only thing about here is locality
Our college is around 30 kilometer from dhanbad
The people are very nuce here but here are many cows and animals in campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is also great as every year average oackage is around 850000 rupees per annum and this type of placement with this amount kf fee charged here is best. my plan after getting degree from here is to take placement from campus and enjoy my life

Likes

Campus is very big around 450 acres and greenery is also present
Most of the professors are very good they help students in every manner.
The best thing of this college is ROI the fees is around 3 to 3.5 lpa but the average package is around 6 lpa

Dislikes

The campus is in the outskirts of city. So many will miss city life
Room is 4 seater so sometimes it will be good for you and sometimes bad for you
75% attandance is mandatory but it varies from professor to professor

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is quite decent in bit sindri many companies visit our campus. The average package is around 6-7 lpa and highest package is 44 lpa. Most of the students do internship after which they can get a PPO

Likes

The nature , the batchmates , their behaviour
College life I liked till nown, campus life
Some interesting faculties , their behaviour

Dislikes

Some limitations in first year of the college
Regular classes with just a little break
Some boring faculties just teaching and teaching

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 8th semester. Not knowing the names of the company but some companies visited . Not having any idea about highest and lowest package and percentage . Plan is to get a good placement.

Likes

My roommates are really friendly and supportive.
The teachers are supportive and friendly with us.

Dislikes

The seniors are really bossy and shitty.
The placement is not much as for a govt college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It offers a wide range of BTech courses in various disciples. It has a high-quality faculty that is well qualified and experienced in their various fields. The members are friendly and supportive. It has a state-of-the-art infrastructure including various buildings and also various vibrant student community.

Likes

Less fees good return of investment and facilities are very good and college is very beautiful
Hostel and mess facilities are also very good
College also involves us in extra curricular activities which inhanse our personality

Dislikes

Street dogs are everywhere which annoy you some time
Strict schedule of class and 75 percent attendance compalsary
Some of area have not proper light and maintenance

The campus, Hostel life, Faculty members and senior-junior interaction.

Dislikes

Infrastructure, it needs a good renovation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As it is a government institute so the faculty members are well qualified and known for their teaching skills. There is a 1:20 faculty to student ratio in our college which is quite a good number. There are two mid-semester exam before every end semester exam. The level of question is pretty good to test the knowledge of engineers.

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
