Government College of Engineering & Textile Technology Behrampore Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the seventh semester, students become eligible for campus placement. The placement scenario for the computer science and engineering department and textile technology is really well. Companies like TCS, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, WIPRO, and many more visits campus to hire students. Even tech giants like ADOBE, ORACLE have visited our campus. For textile students companies like RAYMOND, WELSPUN, SYNTEX, and many more. And our alumni network is very strong so that thing also helps in terms of placements. So there are enough companies for IT and CSE department and all the skillful students get placed. But for Electrical engineering and Mechanical engineering placements are not very good I would say. Packages vary from 3LPA to 12LPA mostly but the highest package offered was 20LPA from ADOBE.

In between the 6th and 7th semesters, the companies start to visit this college. You can get a job if you are sincere enough. The average package one can expect is - 4 to 5 lacs. Placements in the computer science department is good but if you want to get a job from a product-based company, you have to apply off-campus.

Campus placements in our college are average. From 6th sem students are eligible for campus placements. There are lots of companies visit the college like TCS, Cognizant , Wipro etc. The highest package is nearly 12 lpa and the average package is 4 lpa. 50 percent of students are getting placements. I am looking for a good job after completing this couse.

As I am in my first year so I don't know much about the campus placements. But as heard from the seniors, the highest package offered was Rs - 20 Lakh per annum. The number of companies visited was 18 as heard from my seniors.

Placement and job opportunities are not so good. You cannot depend on college to provide opportunities for you and will have to try in campus drives and such. If you want to go for higher studies or such then you'll have no problem.

This college is so good in teaching. It is a government College. This college provide good placements. It is government college so the expenses and college fee is less which is really good for me regarding my economical status.

This college, Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore is a well known government college in our state. This college is built-up at 1928, Berhampore. Here the placement is very good and teachers are so interactive.

The college has more positive sides than negative.They are very much helpful.They can bring us the right side of the students.the are very much looking and caring.Their sight help us to grow as a proper engineer.

Classes are regular in this college and the computer science branch is more better in this college and textile is heritage of this college. Campusing is also better for textile and computer science. Library books are not available.
