The Goalpara College, Goalpara, Assam was established in 1955 and it has been recognized by the UGC since 1965. The Goalpara College has received NAAC accreditation of Grade B. The college has 2-year Higher Secondary courses in Science, Arts and Commerce under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. The College also provides distance and open education under KKHSOU (Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University) and IDOL (Institute of Distance and Open Learning), Gauhati University.

Goalpara College Application Process 2024

Goalpara College invites application in both online & offline mode. Students can check the below mentioned steps to know about the exact application process.

Online mode: Application for admission to the Goalpara College can be filled & submitted on-line along with challan Journal No. given by the bank after paying the application fees (INR 200) either through net banking or debit card or credit card.
Offline mode: Application form can be downloaded from the said website and then submitted at the Goalpara College office along with challan Journal No. given by the bank after paying the application fees.
All off-line applications for admission must be accompanied by attested copies of the following documents along with counterfoil of application fees paid or challan copy.
1. Mark sheets of Examinations passed.
2. Admit Card of H.S.L.C. Examination.
3. Passing Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
4. Caste Certificate (if applicable).
5. Gap period certificate(if applicable).
6. One passport size photograph of the candidate attested by the Head of the Institution.

Application Procedure

Application forms and prospectus may be obtained from the Goalpara college office on payment of INR 200.
Candidate must submit the filled application form, before mid-September (tentative), along with the photocopies of the original mark sheets/certificates of qualifying examinations, two passport size photos and the prescribed admission fees.
Candidates are advised to contact Goalpara College IDOL coordinators for details of both online and on-the-spot admissions.

KKHSOU

The Study Centre of Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU) offers the following conventional & professional courses. The Goalpara College is a study centre of the KKHSOU.

MA in Assamese, English, Education, Political Science, Economicsand Applied Economics	BA from a recognized university in same subject. Candidates having B.Ed degree are eligible to get admission in MA Education. Graduates not having a subject in his/her Bachelor's Programme but desirous of doing Master's Degree Programme in that subject are allowed to take admission with the condition that they complete the core courses of the subject in 1^st and 2^ndSemesters of Bachelor’s Degree.
BA	Passed Higher Secondary/Pre-University examination in any stream. Passed the relevant Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) of KKHSO University. Candidate who have passed BPP from IGNOU or any other open university.These candidates are required to successfully complete theprogrammespecific courses of BPP of KKHSOU.
B.Com.
BBA
BCA	Passed Higher Secondary/Pre-University examination in Science stream with Physics and Mathematics among other subject. Passed the relevant Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) of KKHSO University. Passed from Polytechnics in any disciplines. Passed Higher Secondary / Pre-University in Arts and Commerce, Financial Market Mechanism (FMM) under CBSE, will have to successfully complete the Papers 4, 5 & 6 of streams 3 only of BPP course in the 1^st semester.
Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP)	Completed 18-19 years of age on 1^st July. However, one has to complete 21 years of age while applying for the BA programmes as per UGC Regulation 1986.

Admission Procedure

1. Admission shall be through the designated Study Centres only, in this case the Goalpara College.

2. For Admission to a programme, course fee is to be paid through the Bank challan at any branch of State Bank of India. Course fee may also be paid in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of “Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University” and payable at Guwahati.

3. Candidate must submit the relevant documents along with the application form to the Goalpara College within due date.

Best College under Gauhati University

Admission:

This college in our area is one of the best college. The other colleges are not so comfortable for student because there mentors are not free with their students. I gained so many facilities from them Our college is so good that everything a students need in there. I did applied in dudhnoi college but i couldn't make to go there. So i did admission in this Goalpara College. This college is best under gauhati university and have A+ from NAAC. I did applied in dudhnoi college but go rejected because lack of marks. The admission is based on percentage of cbse 12th course. The eligibility students have to score 60% in 12th. The marks less then 60% students have to given a test for each course.

Admission:

As I said, it is the most cheapest calls in the province, and also provide the most excellent facilities in our district. So There is no position to take other colleges than this college. I will recommend everyone to join this college.

If you want to study a bachelors degree from this college you have to be 12th pass with average 60% in your exams. The applications can be submitted online and fee is always transacted through upi. No cash. You can also avail reservation benifits and ews benifits

Goalpara college is a best college

Admission:

Admission process were quite different from others years , because this year Government of India had launched samarth portal where students have to apply their for particular colleges and after that merit list prepare by the system since , this college doesn't require any kind of entrance exam, so I don't have any experience but it directly announce the merit list and call for addmission. And on the college there will be a physical document verification.

To take admission in Goalpara College, We have to apply in Samarth Portal, after some days merit list will come, if your name comes then have to go college and verify the documents and pay fees. 1. If you are dropper, then you have to pay full fees which is almost 5000. 2. If you are fresher and have income certificate then the admission fees will be around 700.

Life of chemistry student

Admission:

Student have to 12th pass and with a minimum percentage of 70 in 12 board. The application form is both available online and offline, the application is completely free and the date is in the month of April. I would like to take online admission and this is better than offline due to COVID 19

My college experience

Admission:

It is nearest to my home. GOALPARA COLLEGE is considered as one of the re-known colleges of lower Assam. It has some great alumni like - poets, writer, literary figure as well as some civil servants. The professors are very much experienced and they teach very best. There 14 departments in our college consisting of 3 streams arts, science and commerce. All the departments have best professor of the Assam who taught us. Goalpara college also well known for its vast library, biggest playground, a huge number of students (almost 3500 students) from various places of Assam are studying here. Every year lots of students from Goalpara College get admission to some of the best Universities in India. Faculty members are also good. The atmosphere of the college very impressive and so it's greatness brought me here to take admission to the college. I'm very much lucky to be a student of this great college.
