Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this program because I want to govt Job and for that I required any degree certificate. All the facilities were Lovely and kind hearted. 90% of the teachers were PhD holder and rest are contractual but they were also highly educated. All the term exams were taken timely and very strictly.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around for 1st year- 9000 Almost same rest are the year. For the local students cost is not to high but then also very high because the family income is around 80k per annum and some of them were also less. For the others it is little expensive because of room rent and other micilleanous activity, they are from neibouring district. Student are also eligible for NSP scholarship as well as Minority scholarship which is funded by Assam Government. And many of the students used to scholarship around 10k per annum which is very good.
Campus Life
Annual fest is conducted every year on the month of February or March , which is under Student Union (General Secretary). And this program will go around 1week and there will almost everyone taking part. Almost 20k books are there on the library and 10-12 Journal come every day with different languages, so that no one should stay behind any other languages. In college there are almost 9 games exist They are Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, tug-of-war, badminton, chess, Ludo and carrom. Each of the game will be headed by their respective secretaries as well as teachers. Since it is North East, so there are many social groups as well as clubs.
Admission
To take admission in Goalpara College, We have to apply in Samarth Portal, after some days merit list will come, if your name comes then have to go college and verify the documents and pay fees. 1. If you are dropper, then you have to pay full fees which is almost 5000. 2. If you are fresher and have income certificate then the admission fees will be around 700.
