AMSOM MBA Admission 2026

AMSOM offers admissions to full-time MBA programs coordinated by the Office of Graduate Admissions, Ahmedabad University. This program is designed for fresh graduates as well as junior and mid-level working professionals and entrepreneurs. Students can create their specialization portfolio not only across courses offered by the AMSOM but also across other Schools and Centres of Ahmedabad University. The details for the MBA program are tabulated below:

AMSOM MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 45% aggregate marks during graduation are allowed for SC/ST candidates.
• A bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of three years of education after higher secondary education (10+2).
• Candidates who have just cleared their final examinations of a Bachelor’s degree must produce a certificate from the authority of the institute, stating that the candidate has scored 50% marks (minimum) based on the latest available marks
• Candidates will have to submit their final mark sheet and degree for verification before December, provided he/she has met the eligibility criteria
• Reservations for candidates will be made by relaxing the academic aggregate for the categories, as follows, by the Government of Gujarat.
  • 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates
  • 7% relaxation for Socially and Educationally Backward candidates

AMSOM MBA Notes

• All shortlisted candidates will be required to take a Writing Assessment Test (WAT) and will be called for personal interaction on specified dates, which will be informed to them via email communications.
• A candidate appearing for the Personal Interaction round is required to report at least 45 minutes in advance as per the schedule and verify the documents with the MBA Admission Officials.
• If a candidate cannot appear for the Personal Interaction round on the scheduled date due to unavoidable circumstances, the candidate may request prior permission in writing to the MBA Admission Office at AMSOM, along with documentary evidence showing the reason for their inability to appear on the scheduled date, and seek an alternative arrangement within the stipulated Personal Interaction schedule. The MBA Admission Office will take an appropriate decision on such a request. The decision of the Admission Office shall be final and binding.
• The candidates must bring the following documents in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the documents for verification at the time of Personal Interaction: Mark sheets of 12th Standard & Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Certificate of equivalence for conversion of GPA/CPI/CGPA, etc., into a percentage, CAT 2025/GMAT/GRE or AMSOM Entrance Test Scores, Identity Proof, Experience Certificate, if any.

Note(s):

• If at any stage, the information provided by a candidate is found to be false, his candidature/admission shall be cancelled.
• Merit list and a waiting list will be communicated to candidates on the candidate’s unique login id on the mentioned date, which will be communicated in advance
• All the candidates who are offered admission should complete admission formalities by the deadline date. If a candidate fails to adhere to this deadline, the admission offer shall stand cancelled, and the seat will be offered to the waitlisted candidate.

AMSOM UG Admission 2026

AMSOM offers admissions to undergraduate programmes co-ordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Ahmedabad University. It gives a platform for diverse talents with motivation, focusing them for building their careers. A total of 4 UG programs are offered under AMSOM. Admissions are primarily merit-based.

AMSOM offers undergraduate courses in the following programs.

AMSOM PG Admission 2026

AMSOM offers 2 different programs at the PG level. The programs include MSc Economics and MS Quantitative Finance. The details are tabulated below:

AMSOM PG Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 45% aggregate marks during graduation is allowed for SC/ST candidates.
• Candidates who have just cleared their final examinations of a Bachelor’s degree must produce a certificate from the authority of the institute, stating that the candidate has scored 50% marks (minimum) based on the latest available marks
• Candidates will have to submit their final mark sheet and degree for verification before December.

AMSOM PG Selection Criteria

• Candidates, after submitting the application form, will have to go through the selection criteria conducted by AMSOM, Ahmedabad.
• Candidates, on the basis of admission test scores, will be shortlisted for the selection rounds and intimated through email/sms.
• Candidates with extraordinary achievements in extra-curricular or co-curricular activities, or with work experience, will be at an added advantage.
• Candidates will also be adjudged based on three parameters;

  • Academic and Background score

AMSOM Ph.D Admission 2026

AMSOM offers Ph.D program in management. It builds the candidates’ focus on a wide range of research methods and defines their research methods while pursuing them. The details are given below:

AMSOM PhD Selection Criteria

• Candidates, after submitting the application form, will have to go through the selection criteria conducted by AMSOM, Ahmedabad.
• Candidates, on the basis of admission test scores, will be shortlisted for the selection rounds.
• Candidates will be informed regarding their shortlisting through email / SMS to their registered email address and phone number.
• Based upon the Admission test scores, academic records, and work experience, if any, a merit list shall be drawn of the final selected candidates.
• Candidates will be informed regarding their selection over email/merit list, which will be published on the official website.
