Great faculty and campus life

Likes

I liked the faculty here as they are very professional and dedicated to their academics. The academic standards in this college are kept high.
The infrastructure in this college is top notch as it provides access to a big physical library along with many premium digital libraries and journals. The Bloomberg Lab is also made available for students.
The course curriculum and evaluation methods are contemporary and include many aspects which is an advantage along with interdisciplinary learning.

Dislikes

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is kept very contemporary and competitive with premier business schools. Although certain subjects are given less or more time comapred to other B schools. Interdisciplinary learning is prioritized and students can choose a variety of courses from the university including engineering, science and arts courses. The curriculum also includes "lab" subjects which are mostly based on improving the skillsets needed for management roles.

A good campus with balance, academic and activities

Likes

The campus has an active and engaging student life with regular fests, activities get lectures and competition that encourage participation, networking, and overall personality development
most faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable with a practical teaching approach.
The infrastructure is well maintained with a good classroom library and learning resources. Placement support is decent with regular company with training sessions and resume Building guidance.

Dislikes

while placements are decent, the number of top tier companies is limited.
some administrative processes like approval, documentation, and fee related queries can be slow at times and require multiple follow-up from students.

Placement Experience:

The college of decent placement support and students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final year. The placement shall conduct regular training session, including resume, training, mock interview, interviews and soft skills development.

AMSM is amazing.

Likes

Critical thinking, practical learning and interdisciplinary studies is what make our university better than the rest.
Industry professionals are the ones who teach us and thereby they are the best tutors.
Because our university has great connections in the industry and therefore not just placements but even internships provided at our college are among the best.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that diverse as majority of students are from Gujarat.

Placement Experience:

Banks, and other corporate houses including Adani Group, GSFC, Sunpharma and so many top industries have tie-ups with our college and along with placements they also provide us internships aa well. BBA students get an average salary of 5 lakhs a year and MBA students exactly the double that is 10 lakhs a year.

The Experience at Ahmedabad University

Likes

I really loved the infrastructure of the university.
I like the course pattern of the university.
I like the support which university is providing to the students

Dislikes

The student teacher ratio should be improved

The campus placement of our university is fair enough. There are big companies coming up like wipro, icici bank, hdfc and amazon. The highest package offered is of 16 lakhs while the average package is of 4.5 lakhs. My plan after getting degree is to pursue MBA

The infrastructure is very good and diverse.
The faculty are very good and always able to solve the students problem
The location of the campus is also very good

Dislikes

The fees of the courses are too high and need to be minimize
The quality of the content in some courses are not good

Enriching and Grateful

I think the kind of diversity that this University provides is quite commendable. As from the very first semester we had our foundation programmes, wherein students from all across the courses studied and participated in discussions.
Secondly, our college has a great policy which prioritizes the smooth transition of first year students from scholl to college. In this, all the students are grouped into different social circles and each circle has 2 seniors which mentors them.
I also like the fact that the college truly support interdisciplinary educational approach, as we are given fare number of electives which can be taken as free electives. These credits can be utilised to enroll diverse courses which interests you.

Dislikes

Though I am grateful for the scholarship, but the fees hike is quite concerning

Placement Experience:

I am not well aware of the exact information about the placements. We have separate department for this which is center of development, I had checked their portal months back, I think that have decent amount of opportunities, I had seen few of the companies names from the the previous year placement report, some of them include infosys, torrent power, Oswal (finances), amazon, flipkart, wipro, etc

should we take admission in AU?

Likes

the campus is really beautiful ans has lots if trees
They are trying to reduce their carbon emissions
The range of courses they offer is very large in number

Dislikes

there is no parking facility given to us students
The work load is too much for the students to complete
The college is not at all empathetic towards the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

some courses have really nice curriculum but some courses are just waste of time ans efforts and sometimes we do not even end up getting good grades in those courses. They do not at all provide us with ajy practical knowledge it is fully theory based and very boring

Remarks:

The cirriculum of the college is quiye rigerous along with excellent faculty. The resources like college library, 24*7 access to campus, high speed wifi facility are available. Various club activities held at the campus widens the exposure and helps jn building the personality.
