I loved my canteen and nescafe. it has a nice touch to it.
The teachers are dedicated towards the work and the faculty is good.
I am pursuing political science honours which is a fantastic subject according to me.

Dislikes

The facilities of du sucks be it the water n to drink or any other facility .. whenever one has to drink wayer they have to put theeir money in to get the drinking water and this is a huge disappointment fir the college????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1) The first i disliked was the infrastructure which has become really old and needs renovation.
Social life is also not that great. We doesn't even meet our seniors like other students meet, we are confined to our class only. Some of the seniors are great but everyone is busy in their own

Likes

I loved my canteen and nescafe. It has a nice touch to it.
Societies are very active and you should surely try to partake in them.
The teachers are helpful and will guide you.

Dislikes

The information dissemination between the admin and the students is not upto the mark.
The placements and internships are not very diverse and relevant at times
The campus is quite small and there are classroom issues at times but with the new building still in progress it shouldn't be a problem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course as you would know is a very popular course among commerce background students. I always was interested in Economics and maths therefore I chose this course. The course is tough but the exams are not very tough to pass.

Exploring the campus of Kamala Nehru College of DU

Likes

the college and the campus has a pretty safe environment to be in.
auditorium of the college is very amazing.
the teachers are dedicated towards the work and the faculty is good.

Dislikes

admin section of the college is not so great.
the overall campus area is pretty small.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I like political science as a subject a lot. The faculty-to-student ratio is also good like there are a maximum of 60 students for a teacher. I am not sure about the college qualification of the faculty but our principal takes an interview of the faculty. the term exams had a pretty decent amount of time to prepare and it was moderately easy to pass exams.

Kamala Nehru College is the best.

Likes

The canteen of our college is the best. It has all kinds of tasty food and also inexpensive.
The library is also very good. The issue reissue return system is very easy and it has all kinds of book in and out syllabus.
The faculty and staff of the college is best.

Dislikes

The college has only one building and infrastructure is very small.
It's only a girl's College so the exposure is very low..
The frequency of activities held in the college is quite low.

I chose BCom because Kamala Nehru College is known for its commerce department. The faculty teaching is the best here and teaches very nicely. Semester exams are held after every semester for approximately 6 months.

Likes

Societies are very good with exposure at its best.
Library is full of good books and study material.
There is no hectic schedule.time table is flexible.

Dislikes

Placements are not that good. Very less companies visit.
Less oppurtunities for internships.for students
Infrastructure can be more good as compared to private colleges

I pursued a B.sc in Mathematics from Kamala Nehru College. It has a very vast curriculum with depth. It includes all the domains of mathematics like Algebra, Analysis, Differential equations etc. The faculty is also very talented and experienced. All are Ph.D. holders and are IIT alumni. The examination was at last of each semester including mid-term assessments. The examination is are easy for every student ranging from average students to top-notch students. If you study well, there will be no difficulty in passing the exam and scoring good marks.

Likes

Things I like are the extra curricular, attendance issues
Friends and hang out areas in the college
Nothing but Vella panti and also most of the things

Dislikes

Faculty is real bad, no classes as they cancel class
Cancellation of class last minute and not informing
Nothing much, this form is so irritating

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I am a commerce enthusiast who loves knowing about business and the corporate world. Faculty:student ratio is also 1:1. Most of the faculty is Ph.D. Exams are held twice a semester or twice a year.

I liked the way the college us organised and its arrangements
I also like the extra cirrucular activities it arranges for the student
The best part about the placement cell is the seminars it arranges

Dislikes

The canteen is not very hygienic and it needs improvement
The break is really chaotic and there are alot of students at the canteen
The classrooms aren’t vacate and there is a overlap in the time table

Course Curriculum Overview:

Commerce subject has always been my field of interest. My 1st preference was economic honors but the cut-offs were too high to get into a good college so I choose my 2nd preference B.Com honors which is great too. Also, I am planning to go for an MBA post-graduation so I thought it was a feasible option and subject.

Robust curriculum which is updated with the industry standards
Inter college competition and college infrastructure

Dislikes

Management of the college and late information
Regular strikes by faculties and lack of internship opportunities
Timetable of classes as there used to be 3-4 hrs of break

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from semester 5 for campus placement that is in their final year. Few major companies like EY, KPMG etc are the one which comes. Around 20-30 companies usually come for placement but this number has increased in the last 2 years

In there is an active placement cell that keeps on notifying students about upcoming job opportunities, internships as well as scholarships. Students start preparing for the placement in the 5th semester.

Students can apply for placements in the third year. Companies like KPMG, EY, and PwC came and took around 100 students collectively. The highest package till now was 7LPA. The average package is 3LPA. Around 100 companies come every year and almost 60 per cent of students get placed through college placement,
