UBDTCE offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The University provides BE as its flagship course, with a total tuition fee of INR 4.17 Lakhs. UBDTCE Admissions are conducted through the KCET for undergraduate UG courses like BE and BE Lateral Entry, and through the PGCET for PG courses like M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. Both KCET and Karnataka PGCET are organised by the Government of Karnataka through the KEA. The selection process is based on merit and the reservation policies of the Government of Karnataka. KCET is generally held in April or May, while PGCET is conducted in May or June every year. Seats are reserved for many categories such as General Merit, SC/ST, Category I, II, III, and IV, and special categories like Political Sufferers, Defence personnel, Sports candidates, NCC cadets, and Physically Handicapped students.
For admission to PG courses through PGCET, candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks in their qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to Karnataka’s SC, ST, and Category-I groups, the minimum eligibility is 40%. Reservation benefits and relaxation in marks apply only to Karnataka candidates. Admissions through the Diploma quota and the Government of India quota are handled by the Director of Technical Education, Bangalore.

UBDTCE Admission 2025 - Eligibility & Selection Criteria
The following courses are offered at the college under the semester scheme as prescribed by the UBDTCE:
- BE: Candidates will need to pass 10+2 with PCM (General & OBC 40%, SC/ST 33%), and the selection criteria are CET/Karnataka.
- BE (Lateral): Candidates will need to pass 10 + 3 ( Diploma in the appropriate Branch with CET).
- M.Tech: Candidates will need to pass B.E./BTech and the selection criteria are PGCET/Karnataka.
- MCA: Candidates will need to pass BCA, B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent Degree or B.Sc. , B.Com., B.A.(MIn 50% Aggr.) with Mathematics at the 10+2 level or the Graduation level.
- MBA: Candidates will need to pass a graduation degree with 50% from a recognised university.
