Asutosh College Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The only drawback of the college is that it doesn't have a placement cell. However, the college is trying to fill the gap by introducing seminars, webinars and workshops through both online and offline.

There is no placement cell in Asutosh College. This is a major drawback of the college. The college authorities are trying their best to get recruiters. We are although given enough industrial exposure through seminars and workshops inside and outside the college.

My parents told me and I also decided to take admission in this college as it is a good college, and the distance is also ok for me to travel. I choose this subject for my graduation as it has lot of exposure recently and I myself also love this subject as because I also scored good marks in this subject in my class 12 boards.

College management is a great things. They are so helpful and will treat you like family.

Great Time! I miss my college rock.and my classrooms!My friens,techers, Even the security guard(I forgot his name.Very nice person indeed. May be Majumdar da. All of it I miss the library books. The smell of each book. Class bunks, canteen,fests. Everything related to my "19"

We do not have a proper Placement Cell yet in the college. However, the college arranges proper Counselling Sessions and training for the 3rd year students to fill the gap. Workshops and seminars are also provided from time to time.

There is a lack of space in the campus though It has three buildings.

It's an old and reputed college of Kolkata. It recently got accredited as an A category institute by NAAC. It has one of the best Journalism and Mass Communication courses in Kolkata. The college is conveniently located in the city with access to all forms of public transportation.

I got admission by my number. I took geography because this department is one of the oldest department in not only this college but also this city and state. About 100 years old. And also I love this subject. And I got 97 out of 100 so I chooses this one.

There are no such bad remarks about the college which I have experienced. Though I expect with time, there are more facilities available in the college like live lectures on topic wise in the hall. Yet the college though doesn't have a lot of fame and is mainly known for politics, I in my tenure didn't find any such political incident to take place which obliterated the sanctity of an educational centre. If any shenanigans happened, they were dealt with punitive measures by the college authority maintaining the discpline. Thus though there are a lot of people saying it to be a bad college, I experienced that what's in a name if you can study on your own in a student friendly environment.
