All about college

Likes

The overall campus of vgec is very good
I like about the most is the communication of faculty to their student
In the vgec the faculty took all lecture and almost not absence in lecture

Dislikes

In the workshop the machines are very old
I don't like the time management for student while taking submission

The course curriculum should be regularly updated and industry relevant, offering a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge. Real world preparedness in enhances through internship and project . The frequency, timing and difficulty of exam should be balanced to ensure fair assessment and adequate preparation time

Likes

Greenery in campus and trees that everywhere in college
Library and books availablity and system of borrowing.

Dislikes

Laboratory equipments are not that much as students
Maintenance of campus is not good , really need to improve
Some faculties are not good and system of college administration

Placement Experience:

There is placement cell in the college administration building where they take interviews and all process of placement.there are so many companies like micron,torrent,adani etc come for recruitment.average package is 5 lac per year .

College with good teaching but worst college life

The peer group in the campus are well qualified

Dislikes

The campus infrastructure is not so good as there in other engineering colleges
The lab facilities are also not either good or even worse in some department
The number of hostel is only 15 Percent of total students which is very low

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is quite respectable as a government engineering college the avarage package for my branch is 3 lakh per annum.The main hiring company are L&T,ONGC etc.and also some students persue their masters after their graduation.

Life at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College

Likes

College environment is good , seniors are supportive.
College infrastructure is also good , spacious and a lot of garden area is there
Professors are nice , they teach well , take regular classes too

Dislikes

Computer labs have a lot of unoperable computers

Placement Experience:

There are great placement opportunities in our college , in our computer department, last year placement percentage was 100% and Average package was 6 lpa ,its quiet impressive , a lot of companies visit our campus like Wipro TCS Adani and many more , so placements are good !

The Faculties are extremely good and well learnt you can go and ask them about anything. They are excellent in teaching and are really helpful. They will make you learn things which are beside technical for your over all development. Staff is helpful
There are activities and clubs going on our campis like drama club photography mission english etc
Campus also has facility of a canteen water coolers. Also they have a sports associatted roomm called gym khana

Dislikes

They should be a little careful about the cleanliness of the washroom and the cleanliness of the campus Class rooms are very much cleaned
Some of the fans are not working in this hot temperatures which makes it hard to go
Canteen food can be improved it is not that good

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement in the 4th year which is 7-8th sem Mostly it is after final exams of 7th sem Placements are good and 80% get placed in the clg As a ic student our highest placement is for 8lpa which is okayy I am thinking about mba as this will ne a good decision

Likes

College campus is kept clean and there's Greenery everywhere. Student of this college are interactive to the junior and social life here is good .
Faculty of the college is very supportive to student for their personal development .

Dislikes

There is no big event here like other colleges. there is only small club doing their regular event where very less number of students show their interest.
In ECE there is very less chance of on campus placement cause the last year's most of the placements are off campus.
The washroom of the college is very bad. Classroom are not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

VGEC is under influenced of Gujarat Technological University. So the course's subject and Exam are decided by GTU. The courses are very old I think they have to upgrade the course . They teaching the course which is 10 year old and in the exam their paper checking is very bad. all the students are disappointed with it.

Some professeor are very nice. They are very helpfull as well as polite in nature.
75% Attendance in 1 and 2 mandatory for most of the branches but after 1 year some branches are very strict regaridng attendance.
I like the surrounding of our college . Our college is surrounded by so much green tress and pollution free campus

Dislikes

Lack of sports facilites. Does not have good infrastructure for sports realted activites.
Lack of participation in extra curiculm activites like debate comepeteion hackathons etc.
Here teachers used to taught us in gujrati language only as i am non gujrati i find dificuly to understand topics and. Subjects

Placement Experience:

Placements are good here. With less fees my college provide average salary of 3.5 lakh and highest went to 13 lakh . Many companies come for campus placement like adani L&T Reliance and the data for 2023 for IC branch is sgood almost 72.4% students are already placed from the 2024 passout batch. In 2022 out of 700 students 534 students are placed. After getting the degree my plan is to.pursue MBA.

Overall College is Good The Professor aad Faculty are at Next level as Most of them are mtech and hald is from phd from iits
The Course completion is Properly done and also The academics are Done is very good
The campus is very big with good food from canteen and The hostel facility is there witn minimum fees for both hostel amd academics

The College infastructure is little bit meesy
The classroom are hot in summers and Washroom is that not good

Placement Experience:

Placement is done For campus only as of now the record of placement are very good and also After 6th semester one can pursue for campus interview and Many big companies are been there like Tcs Tata power, Torrent power,hitachi,Voltas and many more the percentage of student getting placed is like 70 per I will be Pursuing Mba but also apply for interviews

MY EXPERIENCE IN VGEC CHANDKHEDA

Likes

Location is good, you can also do part time job , The Narendra modi stadium is nearby so if you are cricket lover than its good for you.
You can make good friends, and Ahmedabad is heritage city so you can like to hanging out
Cinema is also nearby, and in hostel for boy there is no restriction at night time so you can check in and out any time.

Dislikes

Management is very bad , even some time professor professor are on strike for increasing their salary
Non of the professor will respect you , They just want that you will do things by all yourself
In hostel There is every time water shortage and even some time you don't get water for drink , You need to go outside of hostel for drink water.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I don't have any other option so that I enrolled in this course. Curriculum didn't prepare me for real life problems, it even worst making us robots. Faculty need to be better, Campus is big and good. Exam are not difficult, you can pass if you study decent.

Vishwa karma - A new journey

The vishwa karma Government college has a huge campus and next to it,the "Gujarat Technological University" is aslo situated.The college is situated near to visat road ,so many Pgs are available there along with fooding facilities also present there.
The college has 2 boys hostel and one girls hostel .The both girls and boys hostel have their own mess and the prices are also affordable for the students to eat there.At college I've taken participation at SSIP volunteers to manage the crowd .
The faculty of "IT" department is also very supportive and well educated professor are there to teach subjects. The faculty supports the SSIP and other competitive events.The IT department professor has created Student portal by themselves in college

Dislikes

The college have things which as a student i don't like their is that the mid sem papers are so though than the gtu examination itself and the marking system is also highly critical.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses which are being taught to us, help in building a base of upcoming technology and understanding the concept at ground level. The lab session helps in performing the theoretical session into practicals. The relevance of course is there to date and gonna be the building block of the upcoming core subjects of the IT field.
