St Xavier's Ranchi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

As i want to make my career in banking sector so it is a good choice to do graduation in bachelors of commerce which gives you many advantages in terms of clearity. Students to faculty ratio - it is quite good . almost there is 1 teacher for every 30 students in the classroom. Qualification of faculty- they are very well qualified and have high quality teaching skills. They focused more on practicals study than theoretical study. Semester- semester exams are conducted every six months. If you follow the notes of teachers and attend regular classes then you will easily score good marks in semester exams.

The placement & job opportunities are also provided by St Xavier's College on their campus. After completing graduation for those who have better skills and knowledge and their interest in selected companies. Market companies on our college campus and provide placement camps and take a test of students' skills and knowledge.

From semester 4 or 5 onwards students become eligible for campus placement i.e. they can apply in the companies which are coming for hiring the freshers. The companies which visit here for hiring are mainly from Ranchi itself. Some MNCs which came here were Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. The job role mainly are for customer service, sales person etc. The average package is Rs. 2 lacs. Only 2-3% of total students get placement offers.

Last semester the students get placement opportunities, till now I only have listened to TCL only to come for the placement the percentage of students getting placement is not so good it's approx 35-45%.

Students from the 5th and 6th semesters are eligible for placements. There are many offers made from various top recruiting companies in India. Some companies that come for placements are Wipro, TCS and Amazon. The highest package offered was 35 lakhs PA and the lowest package offered was 3 lakhs PA. The average package offered to many students was 6 lakh PA. Almost 85% to 90% of students get placements. I plan to do MBA after getting my BBA degree.

The placement percentage of the college is around 94% .Accredited with NAAC with "A Grade" .My plan after graduation B.A is to take admission in the same college for M.A. Further my plan is to appear for competitive exams like UPSC.

Choosing this course was my personal decision. I am interested in studying politics and knowing what is happening around the world is my passion and after this, I would be serving my nation and giving my best to fulfill all the necessities of the people. And if there is a discussion about the teaching faculty then I would say that they are all good and even in the present time due to covid the online class is running and even in it they try their best to give us the best knowledge.

I took History Hons because it is my favorite subject from class 9th onwards. And faculty of the History dept at Xavier's are highly qualified and experienced. There are 4 teachers for History. And approximately 200 students. Divided into 2 shifts. Exam papers are normally of medium level.

No doubt the faculty is amazing like just wow. the teachers and the professor are always there and ready for students doubts. even in the online mode, there's no barrier of knowledge interchange. the office staffs are also well behaved and are here to help with everyone

I decided to pursue BCom accounts Honours from this college because the facilities and faculty provided by the college are excellent. St Xavier's College Ranchi is popularly known for its BCom accounts Honours department. The professors here are very much supportive. Notes provided by the professors are apt and provide the best of their knowledge. The course is of 3 years duration. Each year consists of two semesters. The semester wise includes 1 mid sem exam and one final exam. You need to clear all the semester exams by scoring the minimum marks provided. The college is very much strict regarding the attendance of the student. Students are scored between 1 to 5 on the basis of their attendance and the college.
