Ramakrishna Mission Residential College Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

There are many positive remarks about my college on many things such as course curriculum, professors, examination system, labs, library, infrastructure, extra curriculum activities, sports, hostels, hostels' food. But there are also a negative remarks on my mind on fees taking system. It is very inefficient system and it can be improved to a better system.

negative point: they dont allow smartphone and laptop here. also they discourage chess playing and cards playing in the campus. moreover its an "only for boys" institute. positive point: the campus is completely ragging free. our seniors did welcome us as if we were their own brothers. and even we do show the same behaviour to our fellow juniors

The college is run by monks so there are strict weird rules that we have to follow like attending prayers etc. or there is a good chance of getting indefinite suspension or TC. The college does not allow smartphone or laptop or any other electronic gadgets which makes it impossible to study something new or get help from internet and it makes the college not suitable for a computer Science degree at all despite the brilliant faculty.

The positive part have been mentioned above. Well about the cons , there is the Maharaj system which has control over the administration and hence overall there is a dictatorship behavior of administration over the students. Many a times, the administration never listen to what the students need. Also in this modenr age the college doesnot encourage students to keep phones/ laptops with them, although the college does provide computer facilities and libraries which are totally excellent.

It is one of the best college in the world and it also has world-wwide recognition. It enriches us with the knowledge of Ramkrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Vivekananda.The one and only negative thing is the quality of food but I also think this is the best which can provide with this much food.

Most of the things in the college is positive. Negative things are infrastucture, very strictness, forbidden for laptops in the hostels. .

It is very very good college for science. Here statistics, computer science, chemistry, math, physics, history, English, economics department presents. This college get A+ provided by NAAC. it is one of the biggest college in kolkata.

There is no negative at all. There is everything in the college a student wants. There is a wonderful blend of discipline and freedom in the atmosphere of our college. Students are really satisfied in all way possible.

The College excels in providing a peaceful learning atmosphere where there is no brouhaha of the outside world and the teachers are superb. But , unfortunately, being a boys-only college, the girls can not have the excellent opportunities provided here. As an autonomous college, they should exercise their freedom more to the students' needs. The disciplinarian rigidity is extreme help,but it fires back sometimes. Otherwise, the college is a complete package for those who wants to really build their career and at the same time live a enjoyable hostel life. It is an experience indelible. Students are lucky and proud.

Good, and good only. No bad remarks can I think of even.
